In your opinion, which public figure should be a Rolex ambassador?

Salutations, TRFers! I was just on the Rolex web site and saw that Eric Clapton is no longer an ambassador (very disappointing) but Michael Buble has been added. Interestingly, I read a Clapton interview in a magazine (the article was published concurrently with his Rolex association) in which he was touted the wonders of his Patek Philippe collection. (High on talent, low on cerebral wattage, at least at that moment. )

Anyway, Richard Gere has my vote for a Rolex ambassador since he appeared in at least a few movies and interviews wearing his TT DJ with champagne dial and seems like a genuine good guy. Who do you think would make a great Rolex ambassador?

A classic... There's my vote. Hits Nike, Rolex (x2), and Tiger in one fell swoop.

I see JJ was thinking of setting his commercial to the music of "The Magic Man" (check the sheet music on the piano)
The only thing we need to edit/photoshop out is that bubble on the beer bottle

Has to be JJ

There are not to many public figures around these days who I would take any notice of. The few that are around, it certainly dosen't bother me what they have on their wrist.

Mind you my missus would want to see David Beckham wearing a Rolex! You can guess the rest!!!!!!!

The old saying 'it aint like it used to be' is true.

They had him and used him on Tudor, made no sense at all.

Yes, but he was just a young black kid that was good at golf then.
Now he's looking to be the greatest golfer ever and a all round great role model.
I bet they are kicking themselves

At the end of the day though this has been spoken about before and I still stick to my opinion that I couldn't care less who they pay stupid money to, to be an ambassador I buy what I like, not what some celebrity is wearing this week.

Thanks, buddy; but not too sure about the "handsome" bit.

The "smart" bit, however......

No one person as 'Rolex is the watch for people with a destiny'.

A great brand is above the image and values of any one individual.

Those that need celebrity endorsement are just fashion labels and taste change.

JJ is my choice (not kidding)

Think about it, he is very involved with his family (when he's not online with the rest of us...)
What JJ lacks in hair and beauty his family makes up for (because a good looking family it is !) - sorry JJ you had this one coming
He is involved with the well being of countless other Rolex aficionados, he's worldly, well spoken (at times ya tosser)
And couldn't have a more winning smile if he tried to!

WE PRESENT YOU .... drumroll...MR. JJ IRANI AS OUR ROLEX AMBASSADOR
:c lap:

Tom Brady got picked up by Movado, of all things.

Lance Armstrong wears his Rolex's proudly in every magazine cover and photo.
