Should Jamal Adams Be Charged

Mod's please move this; it was supposed to go in Open Discussion. Sorry!!

After Wednesdays flying tackle of a defenseless and unsuspecting person dressed up as the Patriot's mascot, Patriot Pat, should Jamal Adams be charged with assault and battery? Doesn't the league penalize players for crimes, especially when they're caught on video? This action however playfully inspired is criminal and resulted in the need for medical attention on the part of the recipient on the "playful" attack.

No jail time. But he should be forced to wear a Hublot for one year.

Absolutely atrocious behaviour, and he is considered an adult? I always considered American college student to be particularly immature with their fraternities and hazing but this is just another level of stupidity.

Sorry, but with the 4 year bachelors degree they do not even choose a major until age 20. In Britain our degrees are much more specialized and specific to the major from the start.

Agree it is better for working, but the education system is a mess.

Quite. In Britain you choose what color baskets you make in your underwater basket weaving curricula.

Either way, American students study a subject, they aren't a subject. I'll take the American way over the British way any day.

This thread is hilarious. The best part a Brit comes out against the redcoat who took out the patriot.

This thread can’t be serious. This was a joke.

Also, I find it rich that Pats fans are worried about something like this. I think they should worry about their players not murdering anyone this offseason and/or staying off the drugs.

No clue what you are talking about. Also, education or specialized degrees don’t matter here. The guy in the video probably doesn’t have a degree yet will likely make 50 times the salary in 10 years than you will make in your life.

This post is way off topic, without merit, and unreasonably inflammatory.

Your post history isn't really showing mature behaviour either.

One question I ask myself, Would they charge me--a regular guy if I did this to someone? My guess is they would. I doubt he will get charged. Probably will get sued though.

Oh and I get he was trying to have fun. I also think there is over reaction to stories like this...but at some point as an adult we know the rules of "modern" society and this stuff gets a lot of media attention these days, so best to error on the side of safety (risk management) when in doubt. Right or wrong that is how it is now days.

This was a joke, at the Pro Bowl, which is also a joke, and Adams was having fun with the crowd. Very 2019 to be mad at this.

Office linebacker at work.

No charges. It was a prank in fun and he’s expressed remorse. Move on.

One persons prank is another persons assault. If it was preplanned that's one thing. Someone got hurt without permission. Jamal said, "I didn't hit him that hard." Hard enough to take someone to the ground is pretty hard. Just saying. Because someone makes millions doesn't give them the right to hurt someone.
