Haha—I have an affinity for Grand Seiko, and the high-beat GMT was also on my GMT radar. Obviously, Omega won that battle. However, I love the 44gs style cases. It’s even more remarkable how GS is able to leverage a vertically integrated supply to create a truly authentic “manufacturer” movement: from using their own meturogical know how to produce mainsprings and hairsprings to making their own lubricants.
