15400- Is the White Not Coveted?

It seems like all we hear about is the blue and to a lesser extent the black and grey. Is the white not stunning in the flesh? In pictures it looks great. It just seems like the demand isnt there and the color ends up as a fallback option for most.

White I think has always been in demand. It’s my favorite.

White (silver) is awesome. That dial explodes with any light.

I think the dial is ugly to be honest.

I actually think most people on this forum prefer the silver/white over a lot of the other dial colors. Besides the blue, silver/white is quite popular actually. I think black is probably the least talked about.

Good or bad (depending on the your own assessment), the silver/white brings the most attention as it shines more than the other dials. It also shows the details of the tapisserie more and in almost any lighting.

I think the blue is more popular since it is similar to the original Jumbo. I think all three colors look stunning.

I would say that is the most popular dial on the 15400

I was able to choose between white, black and even blue at the same price back before blue was boutique only. Side by side the white/silver popped way more than the other dials and showed the detail the best.

White dial personally is my favorite just doesn’t go for as much as the blue on a resale. I didn’t care I bought what I liked.

i did not have a full range of choices but i bought white dial. as others say it really makes the watch pop whilst also giving it a less sporty feel perhaps. i have had enough of darker dials from the rolex line personally and wanted the variety. the ap 15400 in white/silver is such a sparkler! i'm not sure of too many other watches that give off as much light.

I like all the dial colors, I used to Own a White Dial 15400 in Rose gold, that was my favorite color combo. I ended up selling that watch and I have a 15400 with a black dial that I am quite happy with, but I would be just as happy if I had a blue or white dial, doesn't make much difference to me.

Pretty every 15400/300/500/202 variant is fantastic and I would be happy to wear any of them.

White dial is awesome.

Most people buy ‘resale blue’ in the same way they buy ‘resale red’ Ferraris.

I'm waiting for a blue 15450 that should come in a few months, but if that wasn't available I would have gone with white.

The white shows the tapisserie dial the best which is whyi like it most on the ro and roc. I have owned the 26320 in blue, black, and white. Multiple times.

I love looking at this dial. But I think if I have black or blue it would be the same. They are all stunning.

I think the white/silver dial is stunning. It’s my favorite, behind the blue dial.

Thanks for the input! It's a shame the 15500 won't be offering white.

white is a lovely dial, I had a choice so I went blue but thats because I just like blue on a SS watch. But for me its blue first, then white, grey, black. The white and blue dials look amazing in the sunlight. Its quite mesmerizing looking at how the light bounces around the dial, case and bracelet.

For 15400, I prefer the white/silver dial over the other dial choices. For me, it just has that added "sparkle".

Actually, since the 15400 is discontinued, this dial is become more special since 15500 doesn't come with this silver/white offering.

And don't forget that the 15300 white dial is much more white and not the same (and IMO not as good) as the 15400. So that is really the only model where you can get that specific dial.

If you like white dials this is as good as it gets with a nice silver variation at times.
