I’m considering trading my Tudor Black Bay GMT on strap and my 2002 16610 for a new Sub date ceramic or GMT. Would you make this trade?

No. I would keep the Tudor GMT and just pay the upcharge to trade from 5-digit to 6-digit Sub.

Exactly. I see no point of giving up the GMT. You will eventually regret it.

Which GMT? If it's BLNR or Pepsi, I would. Otherwise, it's just personal preference on having the updated Sub over 2 watches.

I just traded my Tudor GMT and a new Omega Seamaster 300M for a 6 digit sub and I couldn’t be happier. But, its so personal. Only do it if you absolutely love the Sub and don’t care for the GMT. Personally, I loved the Tudor but it was just too chunky for me...

I would not. The Tudor GMT in its first issue year is sure to be a classic years down the road. You will regret it someday. I would save up and buy the sub or gmt of your choice.

I would not. This is a two for one that the numbers don't work and the two you are giving up are great. If you want the six digit Submariner look at the ND and go five digit for six and a little cash from you.

If at all possible I’d add the ceramic Submariner. It wears quite differently than you 5 digit.

No way I would give up my Tudor GMT. As others have said if you want to trade your 5 digit Sub for a 6 digit Sub just add the cash. IMO I would keep what you have and save for a DJ or other dress watch and call my Tudor / Rolex collection done and eventually move onto other brands.

I would not do this. You will regret parting with 16610 and nice condition 16610s are getting harder to find for good price.

Add the 114060 if u must have

Thanks for all of the feedback! I really love the Ceramics but im thinking I might just stay put with what I have and get a ceramic no date sub in the future as an addition to my current collection.

Smart move.

My brother traded in his 16610 on a 116610 LN Submariner a few months ago. Only ended up paying $3K more for the new watch including taxes. His Submariner was purchased used a few years ago and didn't have papers or boxes. He's happy with the new watch. The older 5 series watches are holding on to their value quite well. Gives you some flexibility no matter what you end up doing.

Last time I checked they weren't making any 5 digit subs...I wouldn't let that go for a 6 digit. You can get that anytime. Personally if one had to go I'd get rid of the Tudor.
