This money pit.
Every time I miss sailing in the winter I just take an ice cold shower while full clothed, drink warm canned beer, and tear up $100 bills. Ahh.... that's the feeling!

It would have to say my camera gear, especially since I'm not a professional photographer.

A big +1, vacations are a yearly expense for us as well. Cars used to be but I've grown tired of losing money on automobiles, especially since I started working from my home office back in late 07. I rarely drive anymore so car payments are harder to justify then they used to. For the wife, a steady diet of Coach purses is her fix. That & jewelry usually purchased while on vacation.

I almost forgot about this "extravagance". World travel!!! There is nothing like it!!
Leah had never wanted to do any overseas travel until 2005. We were married in Jamaica in 1998 and had taken a cruise and did an all inclusive in the Caribbean between 1998 and 2005, but I couldn't shake her out of the "warm weather" mindset. I had tried to get her to just try a trip to Europe, but she didn't really think she would like it. Finally I convinced here to try it one time and a 2006 trip to London, Paris, and Austria changed all that. She absolutely loved it and now appears to be addicted to the 10 hour pond crossings! I enjoy seeing her get excited about traveling even more than I do the traveling myself. Last September we traveled to Switzerland, Austria, Italy, and Germany and she was psyched! She is already planning another EU vacation. This time a river cruise of some sort down the Rhine! Sounds good to me. I am not sure that I would classify this as an extravagance as much as a necessity. We both work hard. Lots of hours and the stress to match so I choose to look at it as a requirement. We both need to get away where no one can reach us by phone!

I'm not extravagant on a regular basis, but I did plop down a lot on soapstone countertops for the kitchen.

Eighty percent of my money is spent on wine, women and song. I just throw the rest of it away on watches.

Pearls. I have seven strands (culled down from ten). I recently bought a strand of Tahitians similiar to the ones in my avatar. Won't tell you what they cost. Won't tell my husband either.

Nothing extravagant as paying £3500 for a watch and then £250 every few years to keep her going.

No wasabi!! Once I ate an absolutely enormous piece just to prove that I could (well, and to impress Aadil I admit, though he tried talking me out of it.) I got so sick... ugh. Now I can't stand the sight of it, and it can't be anywhere near my precious sushi!

Mostly on wine...red of course. When I'm in the US, it's also spend on handguns and shotguns. Also, I spend quite a lot on jewelry for my wife.
