Grand Seiko Splash Resistance

What does it mean when GS said it is Splash Resistance? Thanks in advance. It is 30M water resistance?

I believe their description for Splash Resistance is "Everyday Water Resistance" in the Japanese spec, and that translates to 3 ATM in their literatures.
