Vintage Rolex indentification
Hi All.
I'm a newbie here, this is my first post. Curiosity led me here... I often buy old watches, don't know a huge amount about them but just like them. I recently bought the watch pictured, didn't think too much of it, opened it up and saw the familiar name on the movement. The case is 9ct hallmarked W&D, 1912, I assume Wilsdorf and Davis, the movement marked Rolex, to the front of the movement its marked Rebberg. I believe Rebberg is a place? I am looking for advice, and hopefully some history. Many Thanks |

Rebberg was a movement type, named, as you surmise, after the area where the movements were made.
In the early 1920's they began making Hunter movements. This could confirm that your 1912 markings coincide with the movement era.

That’s great Tools,
Thank you. I had been doing some digging online but couldn’t find another watch like it. Are these little things valuable? |

Value is in the eye of the beholder.
This one may have been made into a wristwatch from a small pocket-watch, which was more the norm then. From a mechanical aspect, it should be admired and respected. Ladies cocktail watches are not high on collector lists, which is where demand dictates value. Auctions are where one may see decent return, but most of them are more family heirlooms than much else.
