Help with Warranty paper
Im looking at 16610 lv, everything checks out with the Ads system. The serials match on the ADs system. But the name of the owner of the watch on the warranty paper os blacked out? Is that okay? Will i have a problem with that in the future if i want to sell it?
Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I believe the seller wanted to remain anonymous for obvious reasons. I wouldn't worry about it, my GMT has the sellers name and address cut out. For me the paperwork was important as it had the watch serial number and model number.

I also wouldn´t worry about it, the paperwork is important, not the name of the seller :-)

Would you like some dude potentially posting your name and address online in association with a $15,000 watch? I wouldn’t.

I am no expert on how the market treats this but that would not bother me at all. Totally reasonable for someone to black out that info.

You do not have the right to know any previous owner of your watch if they do not want to be known.
The alternative to a blacked out, or removed name, would be to not have those papers at all.

I was very surprised to find the previous owners name and address on the warranty card in the box when I bought mine.

Blacking out is better than cutting out. Yes, it’s interesting to discuss - but trying to predict the future impact in market value will be much less than the condition of the watch at that future time when you want to sell it. If you want to maximize its value later, have RSC service it just before selling. Then you are passing along a 2-yr. warranty from Rolex with a clean bill of health. When I sold my OP Date to a local dealer here, I specifically requested my name to be crossed out completely with a permanent marker. And they obliged. I wouldn’t want anyone to search in the internet. Plus the watch was not within warranty period anyway. I think if the watch is still in warranty period might be different.
