Am I being too picky?

Hi All,

Just got back my Blue theme Series H from APSC a few days ago, and notice the 6 o'clock sub-dial hand is misaligned. Should i have send by or am I being too picky?
After all it did cost me 1,500 Plus tax to have it serviced.
Thx all in advance.

I sent my ROC back for a similar problem in the past right after service. It sucks to send it back and be without it a couple more weeks but they’ll fix it. I’m not sure how that gets by whatever final inspection they do.

Even the one at 9:00 looks a bit off to me at this angle.

I don’t think that’s too picky at all. What a pain to have to send it back in though.

Send her back...sucks...but it’s going to keep bugging you since you’ve noticed it. Your eye will go straight to it every time.
They will get it back quick I’m sure.

Not picky at all. For a company that prides itself on impeccable finishing, I would imagine AP wouldn’t want something like this out there.

Thanks Everyone for your feedback. I did contact APSC about the sub-dial and the CS person verify the issue from the pictures taken of the watch before it was send back from service. The CS person kept saying at least 3-time "its only 1mm off" and if I really want to, then they would gladly fix the problem.

Wow that’s total bullshit. I fault the person who’s job it was to put the hands on as intended. But even worse was that quality control when the job was done for hink that was acceptable. I mean the put new hands on the sundials and then they’re supposed to check alignment and test the chronograph function. If it lines up, then put it in the case. If not, either readjust the hand or get new ones.

For shame on them, It should have came back flawless. And then to tell you repeatedly its only 1mm off several times... It's not like you had to look at it under a loop for 10 minutes to see it was off. It was plain as day.

Certainly not picky - sucks you have to send it back after dropping 1.5k. Hopefully APSC covers this trip.

You're not being picky. That watch should not have passed QC and wasn't supposed to be shipped out like that.

I don’t understand how such brand can let this pass the quality check.

Definitely send it back. That's ridiculous. Been seeing more and more of these types of posts. As someone who has constantly supported and defended AP and APSC, this is becoming harder and harder to do. This is unacceptable.

Not worth it to spend money on something that bothers you. Send it back as it’s really off the 6 subdial.

I think my head would explode after a certain amount of time looking at that.
Not worth me dying when I can send it back to get fixed.
It should never have left the service centre like that.

maybe i'm having a bad day or something but i would have been steamed at them implying you should tolerate it because it is only 1 mm off. frankly it's belittling and if that's not important on a luxury precision sports watch what is?

it is outrageous (and weirdly i actually mean that) that upon seeing a photo the tech didn't say "I'm so sorry, that is unacceptable". That would have validated your concern and highlighted that the person you were talking to had standards which would in turn reassure you the valued customer.

i mean i know i'm being a bit over the top maybe but rationality went out the window when they started asking boat money for these things so it's not like we started it!

Which APSC was this? Its clearly not acceptable to be returned like that, but what I find even more unacceptable is the operative's apparent attitude towards it. I'm shocked that an official APSC would make such a comment and would complain strongly to a higher authority.

The watch was serviced at Clearwater Florida and I to was shocked at what I was hearing from a AP customer services person but maybe She cannot relate because she doesn't own a AP watch? All I know is, this is annoying!!
