RO 15500 Availability?

Having grown tired of Rolex waiting lists, I find myself thinking about a Royal Oak quite a bit. However, I get the sense that these are pretty hard to come by as well. What are the wait times like?

Pretty much can't get one unless you're an existing customer. AP has taken pre orders prior, there is always a chance a slot becomes available.

I do not know how long exactly it will take for deliveries. I was able to place a deposit on a black one last month at the NYC boutique and was told at the times there were still a few spots for the grey one. I emailed a few other boutiques about the 15202 worldwide and was told by the Paris boutique that they could squeeze me in for another 15500 but not the 15202. (Which I obviously did not do). Try emailing the Paris boutique if interested in a non-blue RO.

Edit: This was my first time ever walking into the NYC boutique. Never owned an AP before.

Thanks for the replies. Hmm, that's not very encouraging either. Perhaps I should start thinking about something else!

I think the OP will find that it is easier to get hold of a non blue dial 15500 than it is to get most steel rolex sports models.

+1 I’ve given up on finding new Rolex sports models.

Could be 6 months for the grey or black if you're lucky. ROC will be even less of a wait.

The number of people who are ditiching Rolex for AP is growing - the main reason being the stupid waitlists and premiums.. I am not paying over 10k for a steel gmt produced in the tens of thousands.

If you are just looking to get into the brand, would you consider the ROC 26331? It is relatively easy to get, particularly if you are open to black or panda.

I tried to get on the list at the Miami boutique 2 months ago and was ready to put down a deposit. They told me they will get back to me and that it will be very difficult to obtain one and don’t plan on getting one this year.

I ordered the 15500 RG by putting a deposit down last week and took delivery last night and got two hats, two shirts and an AP travel case to go with it. Bal Harbor boutique is awesome. Ask for Jerome...

Do all AP boutiques give out goodies when you buy from them? I want to know what I could ask for when I pick up mine next month. Last time I bought from an AD, I got nothing but a receipt.

With some effort, you should be able to get on a waitlist for one within a reasonable amount of time, assuming its not the blue. The good thing about the AP operated boutiques is that they are a lot more transparent and less games.

I've gotten a few Polo's, a hat, and free 1.5 link so that was nice.
