One for each of my Kids.

I have one daughter and two sons. My 2 boys love my Sub TT Slate Serti, as do I.
I was thinking that the day I am not here they would have to decide "who" gets dad's Sub... I do not want them having to figure that out, so I pulled the trigger on another one. So each will have one, I have a matching set. The latest addition is the Champagne Serti. All are Factory original and have all paperwork and boxes etc. My Daughter 25 wants my DD36 YG Black Serti and that is set. Now I will leave my Sub TT Slate Serti to my middle son 20 and Sub TT Champagne Serti to my youngest son 11. Not sure when I will do hand off if in life or not (still to be determined)...

Very nice watches! Are you currently accepting any applications for adoption?

Excellent plan.
I recently gifted 3 of my watches to my sons.
I wanted to do it while I was still around to see them enjoying my watches.

Same plan here :)

Planning to pass down my sub 114060 to my daughter, it’s her birth year. Number 2, boy, which will be born in June will get Lange 1815 from 2018

Very cool gesture. I did the same thing when both my boys were out of College.

The more I think of this, the clearer it gets... I am going to buy each Kid a rolex as they graduate college (my daughter is taking the scenic route lol) one they can call their own. I will then pass on mine much later down the road... still in life. Just later in life...

For me I like New things so both my boys got to both peel the stickers. I have peeled many watches and consider it a right of passage. Harder to do now but not impossible. Thats just me and as you see theres different sentiment here.

Also Rolex is money and can be traded in. I told both boys if they didnt like the style I would help them if they wanted and they could go with me to Davids place and pick out what they wanted instead with cash as appropriate.

I bought both 116710LN's for $6500 each back then so they have appreciated quite nicely. May not always be the case but its nice to know they went up in value. So far a few years later and both boys still have the same watch. Its more sentimental to them from what they tell me which makes Dad happy.

I have the same plan with my kids. Also two boys and a girl.

Looking forward to gifting them these, but once they have learnt the value of money.

Nice plan. FWIW, I suggest gifting them the watches in life on a special occasion so you can enjoy their enjoyment too.

Please ensure you wear them well before passing them on. Storing them in safes trying to keep them in pristine condition completely eliminates all sentimental value of passing it on...if you don't care enough to ware the piece then why should they?

Agreed, just do not know when yet. If I give these three away now or soon, I will end up only with my Air King... not ready to release them yet.

Great idea. I agree that you should wear them all as much as possible in rotation so all kids have memories of you enjoying them.
Also, if it were me I'd pass them on while I was still around to see my kids enjoying them too. (I wouldn't hand them over too early though )
