114060 from AD
I am saving for my second AD purchased Rolex. I currently own a 1998 Datejust and an Explorer II I bought from a trusted seller here. My question is how hard is it going to be to find the 114060 Sub at an AD? I admit I have not gone looking because I am not quite there with the purchase money, but I am curious as to how much difficulty I will encounter in finding the Sub? Thanks all!

Seems like they can be had with a few months wait. Drop by your local ADs and strike up a conversation. If it seems like they are playing hardball - would not be terrible to go through grey market via one of the trusted sellers. No waiting, get the watch now and the prices are relatively reasonable for subs.

I dropped by my local AD in CA early this evening and with a little persuasion one worked its way from the back room. I walked out with exactly that watch.

I decided to gift my grandsons with a 114060 in June. I ordered the watches in late October and had one in December and one in February.

Classy, I hope they appreciate them as much as we would here on TRF. Very good choice for a young man

I waited one week after inquiring about a 114060. I bought it ten days ago. I did purchase a steel DateJust that I wanted from this store back in January that they had in stock.

Impossible to say and purely reliant on which ad. I’ve bought two 114060’s in the past 5 years. One for me and one as a gift. I got both within a week of putting down a deposit.
I’ve found you get very different information on the phone versus in person at an ad. |

I waited about 8 weeks (last year). All the ADs around here said they are available and you can get one pretty easily, but just not immediately.

It totally depends on where you’re looking. I’ve seen them here in our area on random visits but not with the same frequency I used to.

Unfortunately, I cannot be of much help in providing you with any estimate on the length of your wait. It depends on your AD/ADs and your location. Sometimes, it just being a matter of being in the right place and having the luck of the draw. I was on list for less than two months. My AD called me asked for a deposit to "make sure it wasn't sold from under me." Two days after the deposit, I received another call telling me that I could come in and pickup my Submariner (o yeah I also had to pay the balance too ) At any rate, I felt that I was one very happy and lucky I must confess that rotating the Submariner and the Explorer is difficult for me because I don't like having to take either one off my wrist.

I believe my AD has been fairly up front with wait times and very realistic with No-date Subs etc. Each time they say they have a watch in or ETA it has been fairly accurate from when I have stopped by. They say the Pepsi is 1.5 years out though :(

I decided to not wait and picked up a NIB no date sub off of Chrono24. I was shocked when the guy asked what name I wanted on the warranty card. Watch arrived with most stickers, and warranty card made out in my name. When factoring in what I would have paid a local AD after sales tax I paid a $426 premium. Feel good about that but I really do need to build a relationship with the local AD so I will work on that next.
