Incoming....well maybe

So I picked up my first Rolex in January and have caught the bug. TRF certainly didn’t help!

Was really looking for an SS as a daily as I feel my TT DJ is a bit flash for work etc. Always liked the steel blue DJ but can’t justify having two DJ’s, BLNR was ticking the boxes but obviously now with the discontinuation prices are just mental as well as the GMT LN.

One that is really sticking out for me is the bluesy, however not sure I could pull it off as a daily. Have the chance to pick one up 2016 unworn for 9k. Looks like I’ve got some thinking to do!

That's a good deal if it's truly unworn. That being said, isn't it a bit redundant to buy a TT as a daily because your TT DJ is too flashy?

Why not go for a SS Sub?

That was exactly my thoughts, essentially would then have two gold TT’s. Getting the bluesy and flipping my DJ could be an option to open up for a blue dial DJ but substituting a DJ with a DJ....

Unpopular opinion but I’m not a massive fan of the ss sub. Much preferred the gmt when I tried them on.

Don't add the bluesy if you're considered about flashiness. If you don't like the Sub then go for the GMT LN if you can find one at a decent price. Or take a way different path and get an Explorer II Polar.

The 116613 LB is definitely not subtle.

Agreed, a white polar would be nice and a bit different. Keep the SS DJ and a Polar.

I totally agree with the other posters. Why would you even consider a bluesy. If you think your TT DJ is too flashy then the bluesy is off the scale.
Another option (if you want the bluesy). Get the TT sub and sell the TT DJ. Then look for a less flashy daily wear such as a milguaus, OP or an ss explorer OR... Do what I do and wear an omega :)

I'd go with an SS piece for a daily... I agree that bluesy will be more flashy than your DJ

If only it were that simple! The way the current market is it looks impossible to get anything unless going grey or waiting months.

Exp 1 or Exp 2 Polar wouldn't take too long to get and would fit nicely in a collection with a TT DJ

A bluesy is about as flashy as they come. If you’re trying to fill find a daily wearer and you aren’t a diver a DJ41 with solid bezel and oyster bracelet ticked all the boxes for me as far as a versatile daily.

I have a bluesy. I love it. But it's certainly not subtle. Get it anyway!

Not sure where you work, but a TT DJ has to be the most common luxury watch in existence after something like 60+ years of constant production. I’d get over that mental block before buying another Rolex - especially a TT Sub that is no less conspicuous and likely much more so.

Have a look at the Explorer if you want under the radar. It’s a bit easier to obtain as well

I'm on the market for a SS sport model because my bluesy attracts so much attention.

most of time i dont mind, but for those occasions when i want to be more subtle, a SS is the way to go.

the bluesy screams ROLEX!
