Do you regularly clean your watch?

I've seen many pics in the threads of people with their Rolex.

What gets me is how dirty some of them are. I don't mean like covered in flour after baking, I mean build up of grime over weeks and weeks of wear.

Am I the odd one out who wipes down my watch everynight (doesn't matter if its a G-shock or something premium) its a force of habit for me. If say I'm in somewhere hot like HK/BKK then I'll actually shower with it on and soap it up just like I would my body.

Here is a pic from a SkyD from a private seller on Chrono 24. Look at the grime around the crystal. You would think if you're selling your watch you would at least clean it properly before the pics!

I clean my bracelets/cases once a month. My rotation allows me to keep them relatively spotless through the year.

Generally wear my watches once a week. They are on rotation, so they don’t get dirty.

I have invested in a small ultrasonic cleaning bath, just to clean the bracelets.

I clean them whenever I post a photo and notice they're dirty. Generally swimming with mine keep them relatively clean.

There is another approach however...

The dishwasher? BRILLIANT!

To answer your question OP, once every week or two with mild soap and warm water.

I also take the pool approach to keeping my watches clean and the correct fit for my wrist.

Not so often, once in a while with normal soap. I did giver mine a wash in the dishwasher yesterday, to celebrate that I have had it for a year and the markings on the bezel look cleaner/sharper afterwards.

Yes.

Arm cheese watches and wearers make me vomit.

I also exercise regularly and shower thereafter.

Some things goes without saying.

Gets wiped down with a soapy microfiber rag about once a week in the shower. Then about once a month gets the toothbrush treatment also in the shower and once a year a ultrasonic.

I just kind of wipe it down with my shirt whenever I am finished wearing it. Actual, I never wear my good watches if I think there is a chance they will get dirty. Dirt has never really been a problem for me since I baby my favorite vintage watches and Rolex.

I have started to clean more often to keep bracelet from stretching. Just warm water, soft brush and some ivory dish soap.

I do, usually with some mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush. I also clean it after I wear it for the day and put it back in the box.
