Returning SubC after 5 days of.....
Last Friday I received my slightly pre-owned Black SubC, it pain's me but I think I am going to return it and purchase the 16610 or Exploer II, this Ceramic sub just doesn't sit on my wrist properly. My hope is it would some how feel better after a few days but not such luck.
Anyone else go through the same discomfort with the Ceramic Sub? |

What's you problem with it?
What is it you don't like when it is on the wrist? The glidelock clasp should give you a perfect fit around the wrist.

Normally, I wouldn't say anything...
But since you are complaining about fit, I will say that it looks a little big for your wrist. Sounds like you are making the right choice. |

I hate to say it but the SubC is too big for your wrist. You already said it's uncomfortable and doesn't sit properly. It's not going to get any smaller no matter what band you put on it. You'll be banging it against door frames all day long because it hangs off your wrist. My wrist is just under 7" and I've accepted the fact that anything over 40mm (and 6-digit Maxi cases) are too big on me. However, it's your watch and you're free to do as you please. Good luck with whatever you decide. |

It’s simply uncomfortable, I think it’s the wider case because my Yacht fits absolutely perfect like it’s not even there.

Definitely, for me the 14060 always fit and felt better than a 114060.

I’ve got a few and I like to wear them all
Maybe you should change the bracelet to a Rubber B strap. World of difference.

If u don’t love it, why hold on to it and buy a rubber strap?
If u don’t love it, send it back. And find the one u actually love

How large is your wrist and is it a slightly round shape?

I've got an old stainless steel Sub-style Benrus diving watch that I've had for 25 years. It's much more comfortable (and lighter) than my BLNR. However, I've just chalked that discomfort up to the Rolex experience.

I will give you my opinion, Rolex made small and well proportioned watches, even the 44mm DSSD is a average size watch, here in the forum exist a small secta anti 6 digits and anti big watches, but is only a small opinion, Rolex are selling as never before. Some here are against an average wrist like mine 6.75 wear a SD43 and I love it. Use your SubC and in a month will be very comfortable. Of couse the YM is smaller and then more comfortable, if I put a casio F91W in my wrist the comfort is absolute but the SubC is a serious tool diver, veryyy cool! Enjoy it.
The SD43 in the picture looks small beside a German UTS Enviado desde mi SM-G975F mediante Tapatalk |

Nope, all good my side but then we'l have different wrists.
And what generation of Explorer II? If it's a modern 6 digit then it's bigger than the 6 Digit Submariner so I would advise against that. |

Sorry to hear the Sub isn’t that comfortable for you. As mentioned earlier in this thread, a rubber strap will reduce the weight of the watch as a whole and help you get a better fit. Good luck!

Yes...a better fit up maybe to a point though the bigger case still feels just that and heavier. From my own experince, it does wear different from the smaller 40mm models and takes some getting used to.

OP, do you have the watch sized properly? Sometimes if a link is on the wrong side of the clasp it will sit on the wrist wrong. Also, with the glidelock clasp, you should be able to size the bracelet perfectly.

Discouraging to hear, but I think, like most have said, a five digit may fit your wrist better since your YM feels great. Either way, have to do what is comfortable for you.

If the substantial feel of 6dig is too much then I bet you will absolutely love the feel of the 5 digit sub. However, you will likely miss the ceramic look.
If you haven’t already, try a few configurations if you are comfortable sizing the watch. It took a bit of time but I hit my comfort zone. I don’t completely agree with others that the glidelock is key to sizing. 2mm up or down is an excellent option (and better then most, if not all other clasps), but can still leave watch feeling too big or to small with just one adjustment. Try moving links around, removing half link, etc. before you give up! Just be very careful if you do plan to return! |

I have the same amount of links as my Yacht and have made several adjustments with the glide clasp, I think it’s the back of the case more than anything.

It sounds like you’ve already decided. If you can still return it and exchange it for something else you have your eye on, you probably should go for it.

The Sub has other qualities, give it time. The 5 digit does not wear better and feels poorly constructed if you are not used to it.
