Tried the new 2019 releases in AD today

My sales rep notified me they just received the 2019 releases and I can take a look at them.

For me, it was interesting to try on the YM 42. The watch has the big submariner look and wears "flat" on the wrist because of the bigger dial (the dial was slightly bigger compared to the 2018 BLNR I was wearing) and regular case size.

Another thing I noticed is the lower half of the new BLNR dial font (GMT-MA.. etc) is a skinner font compared to the older one.

thanks for sharing. Do you have a pic of the YM2 on your wrist?

Quite underwhelming.

Thank you. Your photo has dissuaded my prior interest in this piece.

Agreed, doesn't look like a 25.7K euros watch, looks probably better IRL.

I agree...no way worth $26k IMO

Now everyone knows how a sub would look on OF if released unless they spruce it up with a colored bezel or dial.

I’m actually not a fan of any of the watches pictured.

It's terrible and quite possibly the most over priced watch Rolex has ever released.

Got to say that is the reason I like it. Simple, understated, elegant look which makes the BLNR a little fussy looking in comparison.

it now looks like a sub, with different style bezel. the whole "appeal" if you can call it that, of the YM was the platinum bezel. it was the luxury sub. not quite sure I like what they did here but i do understand it, they didnt want to release a sub on a strap. thats how they will differentiate the models now

I’m not sure how I feel about the new YM 42.
I don’t like it when the lugs overhang the wrist.
The YM ever rose is much more striking.

Indeed!

Can anyone officially confirm that the dial markers are bigger on the YM?

Obviously the case is 2mm larger than previous but the new markers look almost comically large and out of proportion to the dial.

That said I do like the watch overall. I think that bezel on the YM rhodium dial would look better than the platimum.

Agreed the YM looks contrived, no interest at all from me. Now I continue to like the BLNR on jubilee.

Interesting watches. I have no interest in the new BLNR but the YM is a watch I want to see in person. I do not believe the YM will be a big seller and if I like it, I might buy one pre-owned when the price hits around 20k or less in a year or so.

The YM is awesome, but I don't see it being available for a year or two. I'll just wait over here, patiently...

Great photos! I’m kinda sorta maybe a little glad that none of them make me want to pick up my phone and call my AD ASAP. Saves some pain in the wallet!

Excellent photos! Really interested to see the new YM in person, I like it in some lights and do not like it in others.
