Young Collector with a 116613LB

Hey everyone! I am new here. I just bought my first Rolex, a brand new 116613LB. This has always been the watch of my dreams and I saved up enough to be able to purchase one (and with a little help from Tourneau financing). I started 2 years ago with a Fossil watch as a college graduation gift to myself, over the next year I bought 2 Movados and I knew the next one had to be either a Sub or Datejust. I decided my first Rolex needed to be the one I've always wanted! So please, share your store about how you got into watches and what your first Rolex was! Thanks everyone!

Welcome to you and congratulations on your Submariner. My first watch was a five digit 16613 Sub with a Serti dial that I still have and wear 20+ years later.

It’s very hard to find a better divers watch than the Submariner as Rolex has spent such a tremendous amount of time making it the archetype divers watch.

I love all my life the 116613LB and never have the opotunity to buy one, wonderful choice, is the most handsome TT Rolex and one of the iconic models. I get into watches for my father and my first Rolex was a 1601 DJ TT, that he gave me.

Congratulations. Great first Rolex. I started with the SS Submariner but have owned them all multiple times. I would recommend getting active on TRF and learning all about watches. It is a great hobby.

Congratulations, I am a big fan also.

My first Rolex is a Air King 14000 with blue dial that my dad bought in 1995. He gave me the watch a few years later. Of course I still have it and it is my favorite.

Thank you very much everyone!

What's next? At this point I am not sure. A speedmaster, navitimer and datejust all sound like good options.
