16 months old and back to rolex for repair

Bought my DJ 41 brand new back in December 2017, basically long story short, for no apparent reason for the last 6 weeks I noticed it started losing 3-5 minutes everyday. I wear my Rolex day and night and either halfway through the day or first thing in the morning it had lost time. The final straw was when I put my watch away for about 12 hours and when I got it back out it had lost 3 hours, anyway couple of weeks ago I went back to my AD and no questions asked have sent it back to Rolex under guarantee, i should get it back in a couple weeks, il let you know how I get on.

Had to send a few of my Rolexes in when new over the years. RSC Dallas does a good job and haven’t had an issue since. My last one was an updated JC DSSD that was running slow and had a very noticeable piece of debris on the dial. Think it was about 6 weeks but has been running around +2 sec/month now and might do better. It’s the 11th today and still spot on.

Bought mine also in december 2017 and same story! Few weeks wearing after it came back from Rolex repair it start losing time again....End of story for me with this reference!

My 41 is a bit slow too, not that bad, but it’ll be going back at some point before warranty expires.

My experience with my wife's Tudor was that they thought they'd fixed the problem and hadn't. They then tried to blame her for it not working when it was returned a week after getting it back. They (RSC) can be pretty self impressed. This was on a $1500 service fwiw.

True Lee, but I don't like to walk this path (discussions with AD etc) So I sold it directly without hesitating.

So for the past 2 weeks I’ve been wearing my old Omega Seamaster that’s been sitting in the safe for the past 16 months, I fired it up and it hasn’t missed a beat !

That would piss me off. My DJ41 has the 3235 and runs about -2/+2 which is excellent. I've worn it withno mollycodeling or pampering but it hasn't been abused either.

They'll fix it, but 10k watches shouldn't exhibit a major movement issue like this. Good luck, hope it works out.

My 116500 purchased in June 2018 is with RSC now. Didn’t run slow or fast, but there was a “grinding” abnormal feeling when I try winding it up. Hope these are anomaly’s and not a regular occurrence for Rolex.
