Thinking Vintage

I’m sure this is pretty stupid but I’ve only had my DJII since this past Christmas and then recently acquired a Tudor Heritage BB like last week or so but as I was viewing some sights I came across a vintage Oyster Precision 6022 and it’s aged early 1950’s and I am pretty intrigued with a manual watch for some reason, I know it has to be wound everyday so not like what I have now so is it to soon to consider jumping down the vintage rabbit hole ?

Here are a few pics

I have this watches sister. I have a 6694 oysterdate precision mine is a 1985 model so it’s going on about 34 years.

Doesn’t miss a beat and I actually enjoy winding it daily. It’s like a relaxing ritual. The only thing I hate is that it doesn’t have a quick set for the date.

Here is the internals

It’s a yes to buy from me.

Only thing is they are a 34mm. So if you have a massive wrist, it will look small. I have an average size wrist at 7.2 inches and mine looks fine.

I have looked at just a few sites and am amazed at what past design and technology looked like and thinking that I will really start looking for a piece of history, so what are some good places to look are.
