SubC and SubC Date Owners - Is This Normal?

Admiring my SubC Date and noticed a little, faint and thin straight line underneath the lume pip, within the white triangle.

I tried to zoom in on it in the picture.

Your input is appreciated!

Looks like a crack or defect. Is it still under warranty? Should be a quick fix.

Recently acquired, but have the warranty card. Signed and dated 2018.

Would I just take this to a Rolex AD with warranty card? Never had to go through Rolex during a warranty period before.

Yes exactly. Either this or bring it directly to a RSC if you live near one. These things happen. It’s not entirely uncommon.

Do you have a good relationship with the seller? I would also inquire about the rehaut alignment. It looks off in your picture. (I am no expert and it could be the angle) Good luck getting this sorted!

Don't let it ruin your experience. You did the right thing with your trade, it's a great watch and it's an easy fix.

Is it actually a cracked? It may just be a drip from sweat or water and some left over polishing compound. Have you dried to clean it with some rubbing alcohol on a q-tip?

Hate to be a downer, but I've never heard of Rolex covering a cracked ceramic bezel under warranty.... most common cause is a bunk into something, crack noticed later

Update: Stopped by local AD. They were fantastic. Watch is being sent to RSC for warranty work as a defect (small hairline fracture). No damage/stress to crystal or surrounding case, which confirmed warranty decision as a defect.

Will be without my SubC Date for approximately 4 weeks. :(

Makes me want to work with this AD in the future.

Thanks, all.

Glad to hear RSC is taking care of it under warranty. I broke out the magnifier and looked at my 2016 Sub to make sure I didn’t have this defect.

That's great news.

Something that is inherent with the ceramic material. Ceramic bezels look very nice and the color does not fade vs old aluminum bezel inserts but ceramic can fracture and aluminum can dent when bumped into something.
