What was you hoping for ?
You know we’re in tough times when a Sub is getting lucky 😂

I never actually asked , I just got talking to the salesperson .
I was wearing my Pepsi and just got chatting about that , while I was talking to him to what looked like local guys came up demanding Skydwellers , GMTs and Hulks ect and was angry when he said they had none in stock .
He then said to me that he had a Sub under the counter but they’re very careful who they sell Professional models to.
He said I could have it if I wanted , I guess the moral of the story is be pleasant and show them some respect .
Last time I was there I was offered the No date Sub after chatting to them , maybe wearing a Pepsi helps too

Exactly this. A bit of being nice to them and showing them respect can only help. Congrats!

Yup, you never know this might have been reserved in theory for a good client but who is a bit of a d1ck, so when the chance came to sell it to a good bloke some won't resist.

I find these threads funny.
It's sad state of affairs when people feel lucky that they can just pick up a regular Sub at an AD.
I mean, lucky should be, bagging a Daytona, or a Pepsi.

Hopefully, one day, we can again just walk in to an AD and be able to pick up a regular SS model without being laughed at.
Anyway, congrats OP, I guess there is still hope.

Tough crowd. I guess Subs are just pedestrian, huh?

I would have been thrilled and congratulations on your airport score.

It's funny we talk about SS Rolex watches as if they are an endangered animal species. "A Sub was spotted in the wild in Dubai airport"

Chances are I guess based on AD location it was never selling to someone who wanted it to keep!
