Step down or not???
Hi Guys,
I just receive a brand new 114060 from my AD last week, but after trying it, I am thinking about step down to a 14060m 4 liners with random code, since my wrist is small ,and a smaller 14060m with similar movement should fit me better. But not sure if it is a smart move. Want to get some great opinions from everyone here! |

Pictures would be useful. However, the bottom line is that if you’re not happy you should certainly consider an alternative. You’ll be wearing it after all! Personally, unless the fit was terrible I wouldn’t trade down. And that’s assuming the other watch fits you better.

If it suits you better and you prefer it go ahead. I wouldn’t think of it as a step down personally.

Go look at the Tudor Black Bay 58 on the bracelet. Everything the older Submariners were with a modern movement and a warranty. Get at least half your money back and go get a Classic Speed Master or 36 mm Explorer. Just my thoughts.

I also suggest trying a Tudor BB58. The problem will be finding one in HK - I haven't seen any yet.

Sounds like a decent plan, though I’m not the biggest fan of the older bracelet. What about an Explorer 1?

6" wrist
Why would you think a maxi case sub would fit well?

you cannot remove any links on the 6 o'clock side and the min there is 5 links. the 114060 can at least be sized down to fit your wrist. |

Step down or not???
I think the 14060 would fit you better. Try to get the modern 97200 Glidelock bracelet with it though, that’d be the best combination.
I also have smaller wrists, it’s about 6.5” and rounded. I have the 116710LN (pretty similar to the 114060) and 16570 (pretty similar to the 14060). I do love the GMT, but seems a bit big on my wrists in the summer when I’m wearing short sleeves. Not an issue in the winter though when I have sweaters etc. So I got the 16570 and it looks great. So I suspect it’d be the same for you too, though definitely try it a couple of times. On the bracelet, currently I have 4 links (1 removable) on the 6 o’clock side, and 4 links (1 removable) + 1/2 link (removable) on the 12 o’clock size. So for your 6” wrists, my guess is that removing all removable links would fit. Do try it out if you can. Good luck!

I vote to keep the 114060. The size difference to the old modell is not that substantial.

I agree. I think it looks fine. You have it sitting on the narrowest point on your arm in the photo. Is that where you actually wear your watches? I find that to be an unacceptable location as I kind of like having unimpeded wrist articulation.
