16610 LV - which is the better buy?

Hi
I’m looking to get a 16610LV - I just prefer the bezel colour to the flat green on the new version.
There are 2 I am looking at - one is NOS and the other has been worn but recently serviced and has new bezel and glass. They are pretty much the same price and I’ll be buying to wear rather than store. Is the pre-owned a better buy? I like the idea of new but i assume it will need a service to reseal etc and as soon as I’ve worn it it loses the NOS cachet anyway?
Btw, the NOS is 2008 and the used is 2011. Does that make a difference?
Thanks

If you buy to wear - and the NOS is pretty much the same price as the used one - why not buy the NOS then?

Just wondering if I’ll need to service it right away?

I’d much prefer the NOS. The fact that the other one has has new glass and bezel suggests it’s had some trauma? Tho RSC would make it new again. At similar price NOS seems a better deal and may not need a service immediately unless you actually want to dive with it. NOS, great find imo

NOS would need new seals before you get it wet.

I bought a NOS 16618 in 2016. It had been in the box since 2008. I pressure tested it in 2017 and it passed.

If the seals are ten years old then they’ll need replacing whether the watch has been worn or not?

At least if you want to have any faith in them beyond working for today/this week/month etc. It’s a pretty big risk to rely on ten year seals.

NOS by a mile if they are comparable price. You won't need to service anything.

If the price is similar then the NOS. Have it pressure tested and put on the timer and make a decision on service based on the results.

NOS all day at similar pricing. Plus what’s another $800 at this point, if it did need to be serviced.

Of course NOS if the price is close. However I wouldn’t pay crazy money for NOS if I fouled find another example used and better priced.

I’m not sure how big a risk it is but I was told it’s a risk. I’ve got a sub with seals of unknown age. I had it pressure tested and wore it in the shower and it was ok. But for how long, who knows..?
