Day-Date - Strap to President ??
Hi all,
A couple of weeks ago I bought myself a DD (118135). 36mm on a leather strap. I would like to get the best of both worlds. I would like to buy a President bracelet for my watch. I am told the bracelet is NOT an option because it won't fit. Why won't it fit ? What is the exact problem and of course that leads to the next question ... How do I do it as i am sure some of you will know a way out for me.

There are small metal end links between the strap and the case. These block the bracelet end links from fitting.
To remove these you must remove the bezel, and even once that is done I cannot say with certainty if the spring bar holes are drilled in the same spot to accommodate a bracelet. The only guaranteed way to be able to enjoy both a bracelet and a strap is to buy the Day Date on a bracelet and subsequently add a strap. |

This is why I am hesitant to buy any Rolex on a strap or oysterflex.
Bracelet is the only option to buy and you can later on swap it to a strap. Made that mistake once and I will never make that same mistake ever again. |
