Rolex Yachtmaster 35mm or 40mm

I really want a rolex yachmeister 35mm do you guys thing it would be too small ?

It looks fantastic on two and a half men and I probably have similar sized wrists or is it too 90s?

I'd really appreciate anyones thoughts !!!

For me it would be too small. I would prefer the 40, me wife even had the 37 after feeling the 35 she had was too small.

Was at the Rolex AD this AM trying on the YM 40mm. Because of the way the strap comes off the case it wears small, but looks great. You get a true 40mm feel. A Sub or GMT 40mm, on the other hand, has a lot of metal between the lugs which adds heft and length. It looks too big on my wrist because of the lug metal overhang. The AD sales lady suggested I try a 37mm YM but they didn’t have one in stock.

My Mum has the 35 which in my opinion would be too small as it’s a soft and more feminine case than say a 34 Date.

I'm thinking about the very same thing..35mm YM..or 37mm...or 40mm..
I tried on the 35/37/40mm YM's the other day..and compared all these to my 34mm OP..
I would have to say..the 35mm has definitely got a large hint of a girly watch happening there... no offence to the gals here on the forum...lol..
...as the dial is so small..and the hands too....and the general cut of the watch..
But that said..it didn't seem to bother Mr. "Tiger Blood" Charlie Sheen in 2 & a half men..and looks real good on his wrist..
I still may get the 35mm PT..because it is small..and light..and has that great accurate movement in it..
Down side is..no easylink..cheep stamped clasp..and thin bracelet..
Upside..it's a real mini sub..and the PT dial and bezel...

John, if I may, it appears you don't know what you want. When it's right you will know. If you don't think you are ready to trust your taste, then spend more time developing it. Go try one on. Go try the 37mm. Try a new Datejust. Try an Omega, a Grand Seiko, a Zenith, a Nomos. There is no rush. Read about watches, look on reseller sites, watch Youtube videos. All this is a lot of the fun. Patience and understanding what will make you happy can save any collector, even the most seasoned, from making the wrong decision. I wish you the best!

YT hits I'm not really after..as it's just a hobby for me..watches that is..
And I really dont need more than 1 or 2 as I tend to bond with my watch..well..maybe a dress watch eventually to change things up...Moonphase Cellini would be nice..lol..when the recession happens..
I keep waiting..
I'm probably going to buy the nos 35mm YM this week..as it fits the bill..
