Bracelet Question

Hi all.

5 years ago I bought a Sub on ebay. Since then I have had it on a NATO strap. I have always wondered if the bracelet it came on was genuine, as it looked too nice for a 40 year old watch. Now that I've found this website, I have someone to ask.

So here's what I've got:

Submariner
5513
238xxxx (should be 1968-1969 I think)
200m 660ft

On one end link there is the number 7206.
On the two end pieces, there is the number 58.
On one half of the clasp is

2
6 6

That's all the markings there are. Also, when it is on the watch, the fitment of the end pieces to the watch case doesn't seem as nice as it should...which gives me doubts.

So what do you think?

That's a great website! Lots of info. Unfortunately I don't see anything that would make me think my bracelet is genuine. In fact, the clasp looks different from all the ones shown. Hmmm.....

Anyone else want to weigh in on this?

I'm interested to see pics of the Sub after seeing your bracelet. I would say leave it on the NATO...have you had it serviced since you bought it off the bay?

Yes I had it serviced once when I got water in it. And in fact it is being serviced again right now. Here is a not so great picture. The markers have been refinshed, and then discolored a little more from the salt water.

And I do plan on keeping it on the NATO but since I just found this site and am all excited about watches again, I figured I'd try to find out about the bracelet.

It's not the prettiest Sub out there, but it's mine.

Nice sub...she belongs on the NATO. The experts will chime in about the bracelet, but I really wanted to see the watch in question.

This is the reason I bought the watch in the first place.

Not the best pictures, but from what I see your bracelet appears correct. Here are a few pics of mine from a 1967 5513 Sub

What I've got looks exactly like the bracelet SLS posted. The only difference is my endpieces are 58 not 80.

What is the difference between 58 and 80?

Why are they different? Why would endpieces be replaced?

Also there is the fitment issue. I can't post pictures because the watch is being serviced. But where the top part of the endpiece meets the watch case just doesn't seem right.

Can I switch out the endpieces for the correct ones? Where do I find 80 endpieces?

Man this is great! Nothing like waking up and getting good news about my Sub. I'll be back after work. Thank you all for the help.

80 endpieces fit Submariner

Ask Steve Mullholland or search in ebay.com

Nice Bond Starp, and a nice example of the SUb. You have a 1960 to 1970 style of riveted bracelet. I sold off one of these on flea bay without end pieces, it still went for over 600 US . End pieces can be had on Flea bay they come up frequently but they are aftermarket if yo really want one bad enough. I think your Bond makes the watch

I like it here.

Is there a 332 on a 7206 or is this wrong? A guy tried selling me this a few weeks ago when I was searching for a band for my 1970 Sub. Seller said its for a 60-70's sub but it didnt look 100% right to me so I passed but heres what it looked like. What do you guys say?Is it a very good fake or did I pass on a good band?He was asking $800.00

I know as little as you, but this is a chart that was posted in another thread earlier today.

I don't see 332 listed.
