Kissing 4 bezel insert

So I understand why it’s called a kissing 4, the digits touch, but was this fat printing considered intentional?

And what’s the name for a ‘non kissing 4’ insert?

Does a kissing 4 actually increase the value of a comparable watch?

It is just worn out printing pads. You can find ”kissing 40” on many insert configurations.

So in this crazy world of watches, does it actually add value to have this feature?

Things I’ve read, people seem to make a big deal about it

Some people like the look and are willing to pay a lot for it. Personally I prefer to find time correct inserts without damage. If the font is super thick or not is not something that matters much.

Each to their own.
