Alternative similar to Daytona C white
Is there any good alternative similar asthetic wise to Daytona white ceramic? Similar size and thickness as well.
I saw the omega speedmaster racing white with black ceramic which looks good. Need to try it in store for thickness and size. |

Alternative similar to Daytona C white
Why not buy the real Daytona? Lol. Really there is NO substitute.
There are plenty of fake Daytona out there like omega speedster. |

More likely to watch Arnold star in terminator 20 than buy a Daytona at a AD by then. |

Let’s see now, speedy beat out Rolex in nasa tests last time I checked. Also, speedy is the older chrono as well. And oh, yes one can actually read the time and subdials on it. Less flashy/blingy and massively better value for the money compared to the Daytona.

I would agree.
The "speedster" is probably a fake.

Omega actually has a richer historically lineage with the Speedmaster. It's reputation was built by historical events rather than popular actors. Now while I love the Speedmaster, I do prefer the Daytona, but for different reasons. No need launching rather silly comments like "fake Daytona", that makes no sense at all. As for the op, there are many fine alternatives. AP has many, while the VC Overseas Chrono(with big date at 12) is another great choice. But if one wants a Daytona, then I wouldn't substitute, I'd just get what I wanted. Even at market price, you would pay equal to or about the price of any good alternative. |

Most of the speedmasters are 42mm and feel bigger because of it, however they do a couple of 40mm models that should/would feel closer to the Daytona sizing.

The Speedmaster Ck2998 is the closest and in the Panda dial. Didn't warm up to the Pulsometer so a no go for me.

There is nothing alternative or similar to a Daytona. In a class of its own!

I quite like the idea of having a speedy pro and the white gold Daytona on oysterflex in a collection

Tried on the Panda Premier Breitling recently and that is nice, esp if you can get a good discount or buy from a trusted.

I have owned all of the Daytona's over the years from the Platinum Diamond dial version down to the SS and everything in between. Great watch that suffers from unbelievable hype and thus pricing that is reflective of the hype. I own several chronographs that I like better and can be had for a fraction of what the Daytona can. I own an Omega Speed Master, a Breitling Premier 42 and one of my fun favorites is a Hamilton Pan-Europ. Within reason, I can buy anything I want and will not buy another Daytona for the time being. Too much hype, too costly for what it is for me. Look at some of the others I have mentioned and spend the rest of the money rounding out your collection.

How about a white dial 520? Minus the ceramic parts closest you can get to a white 500c.

The new omega Speedmaster Olympic LE with the white/silver and black subdials, navitimer has a silver dial with black subdials. Then there is the autiva by tag. All more legible and thus more functional than the Daytona.

Honestly if you get a daytona “mimicry ” you will always yearn for the real deal!!
It’s not the function, it’s not the looks, it’s being a true DAYTONA!!! Wait for the real deal!!

There are tons of other terrific chrono's out there, if a nice chrono is what you are after. Any of the Speedmasters would be great options.
If it's a Daytona you are after, and looking to spend less to scratch that itch, you will not be happy with anything other than a Daytona.

its the waiting time which is the frustrating thing for me.. it's not about the cheap alternative. Currently look at some Vacheron Constantin overseas chronos as alternatives

AP Chronos or VC chronos would be solid higher end options too. I have a VC overseas (white dial, non chrono), and while very different than my Daytona, it's a terrific watch.

That’s what I would go with if I really wanted another classy sport Chrono.

Nothing rivals the aesthetics of the Daytona. You will simply want it even more down the road and also eventually spend more money upgrading for one.
Perhaps if the SS model is not obtainable go for a white dial TT version. Not the same, but closer than some of the other models you are thinking of.... it's still a Daytona none the less. |

The panda AP Royal Oak Chrono arguably looks better than the Daytona, and the fit and finish is not even close

Look in to the Speedmaster Racing collection. I was thinking hard about getting this one until I eventually went with a Polar 216570.
Not enough posts to post the link but look into the white dial (more like Silver) with black accents. Looks wonderful in a strap IMO. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk |

While the 4130 Daytona is in a class by itself, there are many great Chronographs out there.
Zenith El Primero, SMP, Omega Co Axel, the new Hamilton, new Longines, a column Chronograph( you could buy 10 or more for the price of a Daytona) Blancpain, VC Overseas, Grand Seiko, even the Daytona Zenith and the list goes on. |

You can get into a Zenith El Primero for around $4500 in the gray market. That's a lot of value right there. Resale is crap though...

The white Speedy Racing is amazing on 6.75 inch wrist and above, I don't think you'll be disappointed. The caseback was redesigned to reduce thickness.
Here's a vid comparing Speedy and Daytona. https://youtu.be/cEV8WYaihXY Got mine a couple months back. |
