Hi All,

I would like to get some opinions from you guys who are more expert than me..

I have 2 GMT Masters: 16710 Coke (1995) & 16700 Pepsi (1997).

I'm thinking to sell/trade both of them to a 126710 BLRO.

So what do you think:

1) Do you think it will be a wise decisions to do so?

2) Pro & cons of having 2 different different watches with "vintage" movement vs 1 watches with the "newest" movement?

Not in my book...if you like the BLNR, buy it. You have 2 GMTs already that have a history with you, why give both up for 1?

I understand your point.
I think I just got this "itchy" to have the new one but I hope I can cure myself..

I would NOT trade at all.

I would however save to get a 126710 but the Blue/Black.

That way you have everything covered Different models showing the history of the GMT and also different colours.

If movement is your strongest motivation then it’s not worth it. “Old” GMT movements are very robust and keep great time even after decades, you won’t notice latest movement advantages in daily wear.

Don’t do it!!
I have the 126710 BLRO and the 16710. Each is special special in its own way but the fact that it’s harder to replace a good 16700 or 16710 makes me pick it over the 126710

I think having two 5-digit GMTs is redundant (yes I know that they're different models). You can just get another insert to give yourself variety.

Sell one of them while prices are hot and go on the waitlist for a 126710 at MSRP

They say there are no stupid questions. But i feel like you might regret that decision greatly if it is made. Those two watches are going to outpace the new one.

The 16710 is the better watch. The new one, simply flashier. So to let go of two for a watch that is not as nice as yours in bananas.

I have both a 16710 and a 126710 and my old pepsi gets the most wristtime by far.
You could consider selling your Coke to part fund a 126710 and get a coke insert for your 16700

You would be insane to make that move imho. The vintage pieces will continue to appreciate while a modern Rolex that is “available at ADs” isn’t as likely to do so.... also, 2 SS for 1 SS is a no go in my book

Would never do that. Combined, both are worth more but why pay over the odds when either of those models will gain value over time while you still get to enjoy them. Nothing is worth paying over retail.
