Nope, should remain PM - that said by someone who won't ever have a budget for this!

I wish they wont ever make DD in ss.

I wish they would make a 38mm DJ with classic brushed oyster bracelet, no PCL.

How much would an ss dd go for? Let’s say around $13k- ss sky-dweller is around $14k and ss Daytona is around $12k.

Now how easy do you think it will be to get at that price? How many will be swallowed up by the grey dealers and sold for close to 2x retail? So we’re talking $26k for a ss daydate?

No thanks. I’ll pay a bit more for a full gold daydate.

Totally against a SS DD. The DD has always been and should always be PM and something to aspire to. If you want a SS DD get a Tudor....IMHO

The original post was "I wish Rolex would make ...." They did make it, so it still counts.

Heck let's make it a split seconds chrono if we're going that direction!

They have

Many years ago (I don’t think it’s current practice) they made prototypes of the DD in stainless steel
Apparently ONLY Rolex watchmakers working on the DD ever wore them

I know of 2 of them that have escaped from Rolex’s grasp and they are both out in the real world.

has been discussed many times here, and my answer is still no. There is no reason or motivation for Rolex to do it. Just wishful thinking
