Sudden problem with 1520 movement

I recently noticed one of my favorite watches was gaining 5 or 6 hours per day. I thought it to be so weird because I have never had a problem with this watch. It is a Rolex caliber 1520 movement. I took it a part, disassembled the whole thing and assembled it again. Everything looked ok, but still, the balance wheel is not moving the way it should. It is slower, by which I mean, less amplitude.

Movement should be 19800 but timegraph reads 19600.

The watch does not stop. There's nothing obstructing the balance wheel. There's no dirt. Pivots and clean and lubed. Everything seems to be ok. But it is not, the timegraph reading is crazy and I can't find the problem with it!

Maybe someone out there has had a similar problem and can give me some insights?? I've heard the watch can be magnetized. What else can it be?

Try demagnetizing it. That used to affect some of my older Rolex and Panerai watches. You can pick one up on eBay for $15.

Loose stud or damaged collet can cause headaches with the rate, frequency and amplitude.

I mean no offence but if you are asking how to demagnetise a watch there is going to be a lot of things you've missed when servicing it.

No offense taken! I just reassembled the watch. I am sure everything is ok though. Done this a hundred times with my ETA movements. Must be the magnetization.

Take it to your local watchsmith , he will demagnetize it while you wait !
