Which ROO?

I thought it would be fun to collect views from the forum on which ROO I should pick up next - particularly if I can manage to get the poll working.

Rest assured that I have a clear view of what direction I’m headed in, but they are all amazing pieces so I will be interested to hear your opinions.

The options are:
26405CG - new 44 ceramic grey
26400SO - blue camo
26078IO - Rubens Barichello II Titanium

The new CE and blue camo would be when/if the boutique allocates one to me and the RBII would of course come second hand.

Investment potential / ability to flip or resell is NOT a consideration.

I have a CE 44 and an ROO Panda in the collection already.

I’d get the RB or the new blue camo but I’d wear the blue camo on a white strap instead. I’ve got the camo strap for my Offshore and for me the jury is still out on whether I like it. The new ceramic is a nice watch but I don’t like the ti grey version strap that it comes with.

The white strap looks great on your PT

I agree that the grey strap on the CE looks a bit dull

I would like something a bit bright in the collection - if they made this Diver with a matching aquamarine Ceramic bezel, I would buy it in a heartbeat!

I'd be tempted to get the RB2 and maybe trade the CE for the new CE grey blue one if you fancy a change. Is a Ti Schumi off the table?

I love the Schumi, but the RBIIs dash of green, blue and yellow and the partial open work dial make it more interesting to me.

the new ceramic would have been better with this strap imo, as originally offered at SIHH.

I was also thinking about the new grey ceramic and blue camo,
I got the ceramic yesterday and getting the blue camo in a month
Here is a real life picture of the new grey ceramic to help you choose

I’m really not convinced that the blue camo will work with this watch as it’s very bright blue.

I love camo so think it will work as the dark blue slash on the camo should match up, I think grey on this is too much grey so I'd probably have a black rubber or black GP strap instead.

I agree with the guys, gold one doesn't feel top heavy to me either so SS should be fine, the 42s are more narrow and thus top heavy.

For me, the RB II no question. An all time classic and one of my favorite APs. If Schumi is in play then that would be it.

Of the three I'd go for the 26400SO, but then I'm a fan of the colour blue. However, I'd drop the camo strap and put it on a plain blue one. Never liked the camo ones.

Burakusta's pic of the grey ceramic does make it look enticing, but I think I'd get bored with the quite flat colour.

I'm not keen on the RBII, but as others have said, do like the Ti Shumi.

The blue one... I just registered interest at the boutique yesterday. :)

It would be my first AP if/when the allocation opens back up

Have you been able to see one in person?

Does anyone know how much more top heavy a 44mm offshore in steel is vs, say, Ti or Ce? I’ve only ever had non-steel From the lineup.

Thanks guys!

Im tempted by the blue - as vibrant and loud as it is.

I was in the market for a Ce but the blue is different in a summer fun kind of way! Lol

Make sure you have a look with it in hand. It's definitely 'vibrant'. The pics really don't represent the colours too well. I had it in hand and held it up to the natural light to get a real idea and it's stunning and if its 'just' a summer watch then it will be amazing, but don't go to any funerals and expect to hide in the shadows.
I've got a couple of in hand pictures that I'll find and upload at some point.
Good luck if you choose to buy one, it'll be great.

Thanks for this!

Yes, I have been scouring the internet for pics to try and compensate for not being able to see in person for myself, yet.

Obviously, the most polarizing/limiting aspect I think is the particular shade of blue on the bezel (somewhat similar to a WG sub, I would imagine, except even that goes wuite dark in the right situation). My take on the blue Camo bezel is it doesnt have as much chameleon effect as even the Smurf).
