Saying goodbye

ended up getting an offer for the day date that I couldn’t say no too. Had it for 8 months or so and never failed me once. Always cool to enjoy something for a few months disclose damage and still make a few bucks but what’s next??

I do not get the draw to the AP Royal Oak stuff. To me it looks like something you would see on that late 1970's version of Buck Rogers. Very 70's looking and not in a good way.

Agreed. Date at 4 o'clock is an instant pass for me.

I don’t know who buck Rogers is but he sounds like I’d like him machining and finishing is just leagues ahead in my honest opinion. I like all the angles too

Your DD was a pretty serious watch, kinda hard to go backwards from there. Gotta go PT maybe.

The case and band design (not the hex bezel) seem extremely similar to an Oyster Quartz.

Tried on a RG AP chrono blue dial in NYC. Beautiful watch but way too big for my 6.5" wrist.

Look at an older 39mm or newer 38mm ROC. Although wrist shots can be a little deceiving, they look great on 6.5” wrist

Congrats on the move :)

I absolutely love the RG DD40... Would a take bloody serious watch to have me pining for one in its stead (RG 15202 blue dial or 15202IP with that gradient blue dial).

Cheers,

Been heavily considering rose gold blue dial. I love that look so much

Hmmm for that chrono AP i think I would swap as well.

You got an offer for $10k over you paid? How did you manage that on a DD40.

Well played.

I didn't realize DD40's were hard to get, but congrats on your profit. The only thing better might be a Playtona or Rainbow Daytona (which could look good with your sleeve tattoos). Good luck. Cheers!

They’re not particularly hard to find at all. I just got lucky in a trade that saves my friend money and makes me money

Wow you have to be the first person to make 10k on a DD40 flip. Your buddy looking for any more watches? Lol

How did that work? That’s a 10-12k watch all day no?
