DJ41 story

Hello,
I have been around here for a while, although it’s my first time posting. Received this DJ41 from my parents as a present for graduating A double degree in Law and business management. It was always my dream watch and I understood its becoming hard to find this one aswell haha. Let me know what you guys think and if I should change the strap for an oyster and have both

That is a fantastic gift from your parents. I wouldn’t mess with it and keep it on the jubilee. Save the cost of the oyster towards another model.

That's a nice watch and a nice gift. Nearly 35 years ago my parents gave me a similar gift and I have that watch today. Wore it for many years. In fact I just replaced it with the same DJ41 model you have. I didn't appreciate my parents watch as much when they were alive as I do now that they are gone. So keep the watch and wear it in good health.

Congratulations, great looking DJ, I definitely wouldn’t change the bracelet, that’s a classic combo!

Congratulations. Looks great and I would apply the money you would spend on an Oyster bracelet on another fun watch. Think classic Omega Speedmaster.

Congrats, the new DJ41 is already a very popular watch and you have a MK1 dial which will become the next hype.

Leave the watch on the jubilee bracelet. It looks awesome as is!

I bought the oyster version and am tempted on buying another DJ41 for the fluted/jubliee combo, which I should've done the first time around.

I wouldn’t change the bracelet, but if you can add the oyster then, why not?

That is arguably the most popular DJ41. Great gift. I'll have to drop the hint to my parents I want one. I have the black dial with the oyster with is a classic in my opinion.

I'll go against the tide here and say go grab an oyster.
I have both combinations. Rolex allows (for once) to have both combinations. I jumped on the occasion before they probably change their mind.
They are both completely different bracelets, for both different occations.
Yes it's pricey. But it'll give you the impression of a completely new watch! I know I happily change fron NATO to bracelet (shitty 5 digit bracelet that is) and I love the feeling of a new change, so it'll be the same for the DJ. Just get the tools to change bracelet easily, and it'll be a breeze.
Get both :)

Thanks man, may I ask how much does it cost to order an ouster bracelet from Rolex? Surely it ain’t cheap, I’d assume around $2K?

Anyways thank you all!

2050 Canadian$, so assuming 1550 USD?
Not cheap, but worth it to get the best out of this watch. Jubilee is an iconic bracelet, so is the Oyster. I'm sill unable to choose as you can see :D

Congrats on the watch and graduating!

Jubilee bracelet, fluted bezel, and blue dial - that's a perfect configuration in my book. I think it looks fantastic on the jubilee!

Congratulations on obtaining your degree. As far as the watch goes, I’d leave it as is. Why mess with perfection. Congratulations again
