New Car Decisions
I’m looking to update one of my family cars.
TRF was extremely helpful when I needed to decide on my 2018 MB GLS 450 I am very appreciate of the input from our car aficionados here. The choices: 2020 Range Rover Sport HSE 2020 Jaguar F Pace S It will be a lease and so reliability shouldn’t be an issue beyond 3 years. What do you folks think ?? |

That’s a tough one...I had a 2010 Jag XK. Great car to drive. No major issues. A little thing now and again. Have you driven them both? The Jag looks great and not every has one...plus you’ve owned a Jag!

I’d go for RRS. Updated interiors are superb!
I agree everyone should own a jaguar at some point but surely it should be something sporty like XK-R or F-Type!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Neither for me. Have had a bad experience with RR and Jaguar is a non brand. You can do better. Lexus LX570.

I’d try the Jaguar, I see RR’s everywhere (for good reason) but Jags not so much. It would be a fun one to try out on a lease IMO

Both look great, but are 2 of the most unreliable vehicles on the road. Good luck!

I think the RRS is by far the best looking SUV on the road.
And it’s comfort levels are unsurpassed. It also has excellent capability.

Thank you all for your opinions!!
The lease/warranty factor reduces my stress, a lot. I can foresee smooth sailing with either on a 36 month cruise The Range Rover remains my first choice but I expect the numbers will influence my final decision. I’ve still got some time for further research, etc. And that Jaguar is still pretty |

I’m a big fan of the Jag too. It sure is a nice vehicle. If you need want to discuss, send me a PM. I’d welcome the conversation.

Those are two good choices to lease in that I have not heard many good things about the ownership or depreciation experience with either one. Why not toss the Maserati SUV into the mix and you will have the trifecta of "SUVs You'd Like to Lease But Probably Hate to Own?"

As a long time BMW owner, I have had excellent reliability! There is a BMW Dealership about 10 minutes from my office Jaguar/Land Rover Dealership is 90 minutes away So I chose convenience Lastly, the numbers were terrific on the X5 |

I think that the RR is an excellent choice. It is rugged, classy, and has all the amenities you'd need. The reason that you see them everywhere is a pretty tell tale sign of how great they are. A friend of mine is on his third and probably won't be switching brands anytime soon.
On the other side, that Jaguar is really sleek. I do not see many of them on the road and I remember that there was a head to head of the Macan and the Jaguar and I was actually really impressed with the Jag. It sounded great, it had everything I would have wanted in an SUV, and the "you don't see them everyday" factor is also pretty awesome. If I were in your shoes, I would probably go with the Jaguar. But, like most of the watch posts here with "should I go with a GMT or Daytona," there really isn't a wrong answer. Let us know what you decide! |
