Deepsea

Made up my mind and next purchase will be a deepsea I've been offered 2 2018 watches the older one no crown at the 6 o'clock and a new one with the crown at 6 o'clock. Apart from the power reserve what are the differences please. Thanks

The noticeable change is that the newer watch has a wider bracelet (22mm between the lugs vs 20mm) which makes it look much better proportioned than the top-heavy looking original. Personally the new movement wouldn’t bother me much but for aesthetics alone I would go with 126660.

Hi Tim,

Major differences between 116660 and 126660 are:
New movement with higher power reserve
Wider bracelet
Extra crown on dial at 6 oćlock
Different font on the rehaut
Bezel lume pearl more flat
Slight change of the lug shape

I have the old one and tried the new one as JC with gradient dial, but was underwhelmed. You can have a bargain by choosing the old one with black dial.
It’s the most technical superior watch from Rolex anyway...

New version also has a shorter lug to lug distance and end link to end link distance. Makes a difference, especially if your wrist is under7 inches or so....
