Tudor blue Pelagos
Traveling today so stopped in the local AD in Burlington, Vermont.
They had the white gold/ blue faced submariner 116619 in the case and I tried it on. This is my absolute favorite Rolex. If cost wasn’t an object this would be the one I would own. I’m ok with spending 10-15k on a single watch but just can’t justify a 30-35k+ purchase. They also had a nice Tudor selection including the Blue faced pelagos. Nobody in my home area sells Tudor so this was my first time trying it on. Was quite impressed with it. I actually like bigger watches, I am 6’3” with a large wrist. I have a 116710 GMT and it is about as small a watch as I will wear so I had no issues with the slightly larger size of the Tudor and also liked it comes with the blue rubber band. As I said this was my first time ever seeing Tudors in person and just don’t know much about them. Curious about the general satisfaction level from other owners? Specifically any pros or cons with the Pelagos in particular. Certainly isn’t anywhere on the level or a gold Rolex but seems to be a pretty nice value for the price. Appreciate any feedback. Thanks |

I've had my Blue Pelagos since Dec '18
Very Happy with it. Its VERY accurate, wears lite on the wrist, comfortable and looks good with bracelet / strap / Nato. Great summer / weekend / fun watch. I would recommend. |

No breaking news that I'm a Tudor fan. The blue Pelagos is a stunner. Lots of technology for a great value.
My most recent BB GMT purchase has brought back my passion. And at 6'4" w/ large hands I also enjoy the slightly larger size. Been a proud owner of the Heritage Chronograph for over 8 years and BB GMT since March, as well as a few vintage pieces. If I wanted to complete my modern Tudor land, sea, air collection, the blue Pelagos would certainly be it. dP

My Pelagos blue gets a lot of wrist time! Additionally, it is more accurate than any of my Rolex.

I’ve been on the fence about getting one but might have to pull the trigger soon. I like the BB blue as well. Kind of torn between those 2

Have it.
Love it. EXTREMELY readable. No ugly, goofy cyclops bump. Wear it on a cheap Barton leather band. Gets as much wrist time as my Subc. |

One Tudor never hurt anyone. I have a BB that I travel with. Something decent to wear without worrying about it being lost or stolen while on vacation.

Search this forum for Tudor Pelagos - you'll find a lot of good info and enthusiasm for this watch. I love my blue Pelagos for the color/modern styling, accurate movement, and awesome bracelet. It's a lot of watch for the money, and shares equal wrist time with my other Rolex references.

You can buy a really nice pre-owned for $27-$29k. Makes it seem a little better than $35k+. I say keep saving for the Smurf! It's absolutely the most beautiful rolex ever made imo. The blue dial is truly mesmerizing. And it's completely stealth to those that don't know.

Tudor looked at the Rolex Submariner and said "How can we update this thing?"
So they did by creating the Pelagos: Fully lumed bezel (Rolex is getting behind the times here, with other manufacturers doing the lumed bezel too!) Larger/wider indices and hands = easier to read The lume is GREAT Gas escape valve -- great if someone ties your feet to bricks and tosses you overboard (???????? what ?????????) Keeps time (in-house movement) as good as any of my Rolex, mine = minus 0.2 sec/day Movement, head and bracelet are easily as durable as a Rolex 70 hour power reserve Deeper dive capability = 1640 feet versus 1000 feet for a Submariner (not that we'd use it like that) Dial overall slightly larger than a Sub so that is nice too Ceramic bezel Externally all Titanium - except the crystal and two springs in the bracelet My Pelagos LHD is also not getting as much abrasion wear as the SS Rolex, and I do not baby my watches at all LHD version (only) has slightly "aged" ivory lume, a very nice aspect The engineering of the adjustable bracelet is VERY nice Comes with extra dive straps, color-dependent on watch dial color No annoying cyclops Roulette date wheel - even days are in red, odd in black (LHD model only) The Pelagos is close to one-half the cost of a Submariner for a vastly improved but otherwise similar item This has become my daily wearer - knocking out my favorite Rolex I could go on, but you by now get my opinion of the Tudor Pelagos Can you tell I love my Pelagos LHD ???

I bought my blue Pelagos m25600tb a couple of years ago and though it doesn't get a crazy amount of wrist time, it was a strong emotional choice. The blue and white remind me two of my favourite things:
However, I am considering selling mine, as while I do love the blue colour, it is not very versatile for wearing with all kinds of attire and I don't see the point in keeping something that I only wear on an infrequent basis in my free time. The black is probably more suitable as a regular wearer. For the price I think they are fantastically engineered watches. |

I have the Black Bay blue with the in house. I think there is very little comparable under 3k. For Pelagos money, whats the nearest thing? An Omega Seamaster, which is a nice thing, but I prefer the pelagos design. I've seen used Pelagos go for around £2500 from a local AD, so probably a few bargains out there or at least 10-15% haggling room.

The Pelagos is a great watch and could be a one and only depending on your watch needs.

Great watch no doubt. I was pretty taken back by it when I first tried one on. It’ll end up in my collection sooner or later.

Are these made along side the Rolex or are they made in a different factory?

It's a great watch. I believe the entire clasp is SS not just the springs. I do love the TI metal in the case and bracelet. The Rolex Blue Sub is wonderful of course but for the $$$,,,
