LHR Terminal 5
US Citizen probably traveling through in the next few months.
For those that have bought from the AD in the airport, is it possible to order or have them allocate certain pieces for you? Was told by the boutique in the Rome Airport that they can’t order any pieces. I’m thinking a YG DD White Romans, not any hot SS piece.

You used to be able to order the less hot pieces for a maximum of 72 hours at WOS. That was back in 2017 though

So if I’m interested in a certain watch, departing country and want to save on VAT, does this work? Walk into a store, choose a watch, pay deposit and have shipped to airport for pickup?

Harrods does it too. They may have a minimum purchase requirement as far as value, but a PM watch should be fine

For YG DD it shouldn’t be a problem. They can probably get one in within a month.
You’ll most probably need to pay a 10% deposit for them to hold it till the day of your flight. Just give them a call. |

YG DD white dial can be purchased at a discount from resellers or private sellers. If you need the card in your name any local AD should be able to get one, but I guess you are trying to not pay taxes. Otherwise give LHR AD a call today, maybe one is coming in and they can put your name on it. Good Luck

I purchased an Omega Speedmaster from WOS. I recall the prices at LHR are POST VAT. No paperwork was filled out to reclaim it.
Would this work if purchasing outside the airport for pickup post security?
