Incoming and its not a RO

I know this little one won't get much love on this forum. But I am really happy with it, I wanted to get a daily wearer so my gold Daytona's and Platinum DD did not cop so much of a beating, was going to get a seadweller or sub then came across this, I absolutely love it, I am a big fan of the historical two subdial chrono's from Patek, ALS etc, and the AP ones get little love.

I will get around to taking some fresh photos at some point, has just had a new AP band and service done from AP in Harrods when I bought it. Model number 25859ST, guessing it to be from the early 2000's but looks new post service and new AP band. For less than the cost of a second hand Air King it is quite a piece. Photo was on the Tube in London, but the watch is now back with me in Sydney post my trip.

I love it - that looks amazing.

It would be great if AP broadened their line by going back to some of the lovely designs like this rather than pushing out the Code line.

I love that watch, not sure why you think it wouldn’t go down well here.

Awesome! Really jealous of this piece. If you don’t mind me asking what was the cost of it?

About US $5K, including fresh service that had cost the owner $2K so a real bargain.

25859ST this is the SS version, but it also comes in Yellow gold and I think white gold for not a lot more. Chrono24 will give you a heads up on the dial/case combo's.

Awesome watch at a great price for an AP.

I've always had a soft spot for the JA line. Think this one looks better than the new code, just update it with new chrono movement and maybe a slight update to the case/pushers and it would be perfect.

A great find with a recent service included, basically 2000 dollars off the sale. This leaves you with an actual sale price of 3000 dollars!! That's a wonderful bargain, very well done OP

I think it's interesting that with all the "love" for similar looking watches (ALS especially), the Audemars line would do really well. No such case.
Fascinating what rises to the top vs what sinks in horology.

Agreed, maybe its because I am getting old but I prefer to buy the watch, its looks, history and movement. Speculating on value movement not my thing. I never really like my Aquanaut the movement drove me nuts with its constant whirring sounds and my 15400 was just too big. Am enjoying the simplicity of this piece, which doubles as a dress up or down option, and takes the load of my PM other Rolex.
