15300OR Bracelet Experiment
I wanted to share this with my fellow AP brethren as I think this is quite interesting. As some of you know, I’ve been wanting a rose gold RO on full bracelet and given that I already own a 15300OR on black croc strap, I was considering just keeping it an adding a rose gold bracelet. To get an idea of the size and how the 15300OR would wear on a bracelet instead of a strap, I put the steel bracelet from my 15400ST blue dial onto my 15300OR to give myself a good idea of how the 15300OR would wear not on a croc strap. FYI, I did not leave the house like this, it was just an experiment to help me to decide whether I should keep my 15300OR and add a gold bracelet or sell/trade it for a 26331OR with bracelet instead. The 15300 on a bracelet does legitimately look too small on my wrist. On the croc strap it wears larger than the bracelet. Ultimately I decided to offload the 15300OR plus my Patek 6000G in a trade for a new 26331OR. Interestingly, the lugs and bracelet on the 15300 and 15400 are identical. Only is the physical case is larger on the 15400 but the lugs are identical in size in every way and I modified from the 15300. I would be a huge fan of the 15300 if my wrist was a half inch smaller and the 15300 on bracelet remains an excellent option for guys with <6.5” wrists.
And back on the black croc strap... the 15300 just wears so much larger on the strap than bracelet. |

I’ve got that predelivery anticipation. Thursday is so far away....
It is rose gold with the classic chocolate dial on a brown strap. I plan to add the full rose gold bracelet in a few months (selling my 5296G Calatrava to fund the 20k AP gold bracelet haha). I opted to not go blue for the RO Chrono because I already have the quintessential 15400 stainless blue dial and I think on gold the blue contrast with the gold subdials is just too “Ibiza” for me as the gold already has an inherently opulent look. Also, if you look at the Nautilus 5711R in rose gold, Patek doesn’t even give owners the option of the blue dial as the chocolate brown dial is the quintessential color selected by Patek for their rose gold Nautilus offering. So I’m excited for this one... |

15300OR Bracelet Experiment

I want the option to go back and forth between the bracelet and the croc strap, and given all the costs, it works out to be a $5k savings to buy the croc strap watch and then add the bracelet, as opposed to buying the bracelet watch and adding the croc strap. Not that $5k here or there matters on a nearly $60k watch, but hey, every bit counts. |

Nice pic, I saw a fake gold 300 on bracelet once and thought it a shame they didn't have a real one.
