Get to the World Series, you can buy a BLRO

Just saw this on IG...damn, it even took Howie Kendrick a while to get the 126710blro. Guess he needed to hit a grand slam in the NLCS and make it to the WS before he could buy one from an AD. The watch looks good on him and I now feel less bad having been turned away by the same AD for the same watch

You can't be that much of a nobody if you have as good of a connection as you do.

I wonder if the AD even knew who he was. I'm the biggest MLB fan there is...if I was the sales guy, I'd bring out all the hidden watches they keep away from us peasants.

Considering that they put his picture with them on their IG, I believe they do.

As a owner of a SS Submariner Date, I can’t see what all the hype is about. It pretty much looks like a Sub, only difference is the choice of two different bezel colors. Blue, or Red. Maybe if I didn’t own a SS Sub, I’ll be drinking the Kool Aid too. However, it is a nice watch. Go Nationals, and I’m a Yankee fan.

The only thing the Sub Date and GMT have in common are the hour markers, hour/second hands and date window...other than that, literally everything else is different so I respectfully disagree. Oh and I say this having owned a 114060 and now own the 126710.

It’s pretty different to a sub tbh

Each to their own! I prefer the GMT over the sub, the extra hour marker, the bezel, the colours. Very different

Love it...and he’s got a coupla hits tonight too. A few great weeks on the whole-life-meter keep getting better for someone who seems like an excellent guy and superb ball player!

Friday’s gonna be rocking at Nats Park.

The other night, he tried to help out the catcher with a live ball at the plate that was rolling away. Joe Buck commented "that's the kinda guy Howie Kendrick is"... Good for the Nats. Glad they got rid of BH.

Congrats on him getting a fine timepeice. Bravo!

BTW: When did they start a World Series? Am sure they must be including teams from Asia, Europe, South America, Cuba, etc, right? Or is this an American Series claiming to be World?

It used to include two Canadian teams. Then one of those Canadian teams became the Washington Nationals.

Good for Howie and L&B.

No need to speculate, Howie is a well-known collector, been on Hodinkee Talking Watches, and L&B owns 4-5 stores - they know exactly what they are doing and who Howie is - this is smart business on their behalf.

And come on, does someone really begrudge Howie getting a BLRO?
