Good enough?
Hi all,
I’ve been wearing my new explorer for a week now, and it has been gaining less than a second a day. So, well within specs. However, my timegrapher shows a -4to+4 spread over six positions, even though it averages out to +1. Good enough? Leave it be? Does spec apply to each position? Would Rolex even do anything under warranty? What do you guys think? Really love the watch Thanks much Fred |

I think that you are thinking too much about it.

I agree with this. I have to laugh at these threads. No disrespect to the OP. These are mechanical watches and the accuracy of the movement is going to vary constantly based on many factors. Enjoy your watch.

Dude.....you're at less then a second per day. Don't overthink this - you've got an awesome watch that's performing spectacularly. Enjoy it.

That means it's within spec. As long as 6 positions are taken into account over the course of about 7 to 10 days, and you are with plus or minus 2 then you're doing great.
Enjoy your timepiece -- it's better than good, it's excellent! |

This is the problem when watch enthusiasts get timegraphers, the see things they don't understand and think there's something wrong. Just throw the thing out. |

Leave it be. Position affects them an awful lot and I find mine barely deviate when on the wrist a lot but much more when paid crown down or whatever or power reserve starting to wane.
