Oris Review in Watch Time misleading?

Guys - take a look at these two shots. The first is from Watch Time's August review of the new Oris Aquis GMT. Notice the lumed GMT hand, please.

Now, have a look at the watch I just bought - no lume on the GMT hand.

So, what gives do you think? A little deceptive-looking Photoshop or...what?

It definitely bothers me...feel I was a bit misled. Bought the watch after reading the review.

Thanks, everyone, for your opinions....Ben.

Interesting, I was thinking about that watch. I notice the small numbers are also quite bright on the inner ring. Maybe it was a trick of the light. Do you have the original video?
This video doesn't show the GMT hand glowing either.

Also, please fix your bezel it needs to be over the 12 o'clock

Thanks. Going to contact Oris on Monday and see what they say.

Quite misleading that. Do you have original Oris advertising literature that showed the GMT hand lumed up?

I can see why you’d be disappointed in that.

But help me understand how one could ever use the outer bezel as a GMT complication. It appears to be a 24 hr bezel without its own arrowheaded hand.

I see where the arrow hits the inner 24-hr track, but lost on the GMT bezel.

No problem. It took me awhile but now I understand. Let me explain.

The local time, here in Phoenix, is shown on the normal hands.

The second time zone is indicated by pointing the GMT hand at the time three hours ahead which is EST (New York).

Then, by turning the bezel to the left eight notches (which represent hours) and visualizing the GMT hand extended out to the bezel, you can read the time in London as well which is eight hours ahead of Phoenix.

That’s how it shows three time zones at the same time.

But, still feel misled by that article in Watch Time and they are going to hear about it.

Good weekend. Ben.

My guess is that the picture in the magazine was of a prototype/pre-production model which did have lume, and the question is whether the lack of lume on yours is a result of a design change or a manufacturing defect.

Did you ever get an answer from Oris?
