New DJ 41

Having bought a blue, fluted, stick on a jubilee back in july from AD I am really sold on DJ 41's. I never thought i would like them so much. I really just bought it on a whim as a smarter type, go with a suit watch. Unbeleivably accurate and they change colour in different lighting and super comfortable. After that little ramble I am thinking about buying 2 more...both with sticks as I am a lume man, both with smooth bezels, one with jubilee and one with oyster. But the big question is colour. I definitely want a rhodium as I dont own a greay watch and was thinking oyster with that and the other with either white or silver dial on jubilee. 1st world problem is I have a JLC with silver dial and Exp 2 Polar. Any thoughts and pics would really help.

Man, I have the same one but with a oyster band and I still catch myself staring at it when it’s in different light settings and watching the colors change on it. It really is a beautiful piece! Congrats on the buy!

I like the rhodium dial as well as the blue, but I doubt I would buy more than one of the same watch for different dials, although the DJ41 surely is comfy and attractive.

I am a DJ41 convert, I love mine, see picture below, it is just such an awesome watch, it is so versatile you can configure to suit your life style. My aim is to have 3 DJ41 watches, the one I have, one on an Oyster and a TT, not sure of final configurations yet, just enjoying my first.

Is the fluted bezel really shiny in real life ? I have tried one on at an AD, but (of course), all they had in stock was yellow or rose gold. Man, the bezel shined like a stroboscope ! Don't know if it was due to :
1. The watch being new or YG/RG
2. The strong lights in the shop
3. None of them, the disco ball effect is totally normal

I'm looking for an understated-ish look, and will buy a blue one soon. Still unsure about the bezel.

The DJ 41 is a great watch in all variations. Easy to wear with just about everything and it has this haunting quality that’s really tough to put your finger one. Here’s mine. Congrats and wear in good health.

Plenty of different models out there to own. I would only get a two tone chocolate dial for another DJ41. I have the blue dial fluted on jubilee as well and it is a great watch, but tend to wear the LV or BLNR more often. The fluted version of DJ41 definitely shines though.

Are you using the verb shine as a way to say it's beautiful, or as it's shiny ?

New DJ 41

It is both shiny and beautiful. When the sun hits the bezel, it will definitely get attention wanted/unwanted. You should try one on to get an idea of a smooth bezel might work better than the fluted, but most DJ I have seen have fluted bezels.

I am very very happy with mine but saw some guy in London wearing rhodium, oyster and smooth bezel and was stunned by how understated and cool it looked...something just shouted at me that I had to have that too. After I get this then the real problem is going to be white or silver, smooth on jubilee. Please can someone put up a close up pick of one. Rolex configurator pics just don’t quite do it. How many DJ 41’s can one person have without falling into the swamp of obsession!?

Thank you. Just got it 2 weeks ago and loving it. You got to see it in person to really appreciate the wonderful blue dial... Where ever you are the dial color changes from very dark to light blue... Love it..

They need more dial options, especially on the TT. Just not a fan of the sticks.

Yes, so many choices. I have an SS Wimbledon S/O and love it, I almost played it safe with the silver dial. I've also been thinking of adding another DJ41 (SS only) as they wear so well. I'm not a big fan of the stick dials plus I find the lumes are a little underwhelming and not a necessity so I'd take advantage of going for the character of another roman dial but on jubilee this time to mix it up even more. The white dial w/Romans seems like a classic way to go. The Azzurro blue roman dial is something that is a must see for me and l have a feeling when l see that one it will be all over. Happy Choosing! Two DJ41s aren't too many.

Do you swap the bracelets on your own? How challenging is it to do without scratching?

Nope. I bought it with the Oyster and purchased the Jubilee through my AD, Hyde Park here in Phoenix.

Only they touch my bracelets, bands and watches. You only have to make that mistake once on a $10,000 watch to
learn that lesson. Of course, their watch jeweler is superb and only he does the work. Not all are.
