.
Hi, I just scored this today. Sorry for the crappy photos.
It’s a rolex 18238 yellow gold day-date fluted bezel from 1992.
I’m so used to wearing a submariner that this feels a tad small.
But I've only been wearing it for one day.
I’m hoping I’ll get used to this smaller size and learn to love it too.
Anyway, I just thought I’d share! Thanks for looking!

Congratulations!

Actually, those pictures are quite adequate, if one clicks on the pic and then enlarges the pictures on Flicker.

Honestly, the size looks very good on your wrist.

It doesn't look small at all.

I felt the same way when I first got my explorer 1, now it’s probably my favorite watch.

When you change between watches it always feels or small or big, after a day or so I get used to it.
A DD36 on a President is a very balanced watch, enjoy yours.

I have had two 18238's over the years. With a then 7-1/2" wrist they always looked too small for me. I now have a DD40 and its more appropriate size wise. Its all perspective and it took me a few days to adjust when I went to extreme watch sizes both directions for it to look right. But 40mm is my sweet spot now since I lost a bunch of weight and my wrist is closer to 7" now.

Looks great, I have 7.25 in wrist and find the size ok. Wear it for a week and your sports watch will feel too big. Congrats.

Nice. I am downsizing also to a 18238 diamond dial soon. The 116618 is a bit big on my wrist

Well even though I'm so totally used to wearing the submariner, it's now been just two days on the wrist and I'm happy to report that the size of this new watch luckily already feels normal.
