I have problems

I traded up from my BLNR and got into a wg Daytona OF about a month or so ago. Love the watch and have no regrets on the trade. I do however find myself wanting to purchase something else already. I have a trio of Rolex watches but I am longing for a 4th (a Sub 114060).

I just scratched the itch for a new watch, but I feel like my itch got worse after I did it.

I love all 3 of my current references, but I just can't help wanting a 4th.

This place is going to be the death of me.

Same old story. I actively shop even when I know there's something new that's currently en route.

It's definitely a sickness!

Sorry to say this, but sounds like you have not found the right watch yet. For me the 114060 is the right watch. It could be for you too.

Trust me this only gets worse. The marginal psychic return on each additional new watch is less than the last.

Congrats on the new piece! Don't crowd it just yet, give yourself some time to fully appreciate it. Then see if you really have an itch to scratch, or just like feeling itchy.

It never ends.
After 4, it will be 5, and so on.

Maybe you don’t really need another watch and what you ought to do is step away from horology social media and forums

Asking here if you should not buy a watch is like walking into a bar and asking the bartender if you should stop drinking.

If you want a Sub no date, and you can afford it, why would you not get it? Or , if you don't wear the other pieces often, maybe you should sell a piece or two and get the Sub.

Selling isn’t an option. None of my pieces are going anywhere.

I can afford the sub, but that’s not really the point.

Taking time off from TRF doesnt help...cause you just find yourself browsing watch apps, listening to watch podcasts and looking at grey inventory.

Let us know if you figure out a cure...actually no..strike that...I'm in love with my disease.

I have problems

I thought that OP would say (judging by his 6 year tenure here) that his problem was finding room for 10-20 Rolex boxes in the closet...

So what you're saying is I have restraint and picking up a 4th piece after being a member on TRF for 6 years is child's play? I think I agree!

Yes...you may go ahead and add up to 3 more this year as a “catch-up” acquisition.
