Root Beer!!!!!!!????? Thoughts please..
Ok, my AD emailed me about a GMT 2 he got in stock. He knows I’m interested in SS Sub ONLY. He said come take a look at it. Until now, it’s was never in my radar. I browsed in this wonderful forum and everyone told go wear it and see. So I went. The minute I saw, I was like a kid at a candy store... I LOVED it.... I wanted to pull the trigger, but my AD said “ Go home, let it sink in, come back tomorrow if you still want it. I don’t want to take hasty decisions”. I came back home and am still thinking about it...
If I buy this, I can’t buy another one for the next few years.... let me know your thoughts.. I value this forum a lot and your replies mean a lot! My only watch: Tudor BB 41 |

Definitely an awesome watch and on my list at my AD. That said if my heart was set on a sub and I can't buy another watch for a couple years I don't think it's worth ditching your true desire for this. that said a lot of us who truly want one of these have been waiting for some time to get one. So maybe you should share with some of us waiting haha but yes I would pass on it and go for your sub

Pure hotness. If it was love at first sight, seems like decision is made. Besides, the BB41 is sub-like already. Time for some bling IMO.

A Rolex like that, you don't "need" another one. A black Sub will seem boring after owning a CHNR so there is no issue.

I’m here to help! Long short, I recommend Root beer.
Why: the heft of the gold, feels special, not common everyday watch, striking looks, precious metal Rolex, sub gets boring quick, conversation starter, warmth making whiskey drinking incredible. I liked it so much, I traded it for full gold model a few days ago... You’ll love the watch. If you get the Sub, you’ll feel like every other guy who makes over 70k per year.... gets boring fast. Be a conniseur, wear the Root beer! Cheers and happy whiskey drinking! |

ps. Immediately order “wrist guard pro” and apply to the center links. They scratch easily if not protected.
I had 0 scratches on mine when I traded it in.. great freaking watch! |

I’m fortunate to have the TT CHNR and the SubC and while I love them both and would’ve told you beforehand the SubC suits my lifestyle better, I am drawn to the CHNR way more than the Sub. I can’t pick for you but I can say after 6 months with my CHNR I’m still in love and still admire it when it’s on my wrist.

When I walk-in with a Ss sub, I feel like a commoner... not special at all! There’s something about some precious metal that gives a little pep in your stride... Agree??? |

Buy the watch your heart desires. If after looking, you don’t love it like the sub, pass and wait.
Flip side - that root beer GMT Master II is phenomenal and not one person would think anything but pure class about that watch, but only you can decide. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

These are two completely different references ... kind if like comparing Ginger to Mary Ann (if you’re old enough to remember Gilligan’s Island).
Me personally, I would not buy the CHNR if my heart were set on the Submariner. As for those telling you it’s a boring watch by comparison, I’d say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Sometimes “less is more”. |

Cant believe you’re hesitating to get this beauty, because you want a run of the mill black sub.

Lets not forget the all new 3285 movement in the CHNR that is the latest in Rolex technology and addressed the shortcomings of the previous movement that is currently in the Sub. That alone is worth buying the CHNR now and waiting until the new Sub gets a "32 series" movement which will be happening very soon. Longer power reserve, more effective escapement, better shock absorbing system, ceramic rotor bearings, etc... This is a heck of a upgrade.

I suppose the other thing that has not been mentioned is one is a GMT and one is a diver.
Do you want or have use for the GMT complication or is the diver better suited for what your daily uses might be? |

It’s a great watch.
I’d wait for the Sub. I say this only because the GMT is not your first choice and you won’t be able to get the Sub for a couple of years. Who knows, you could have your Sub by Xmas. Hold out!

Buy it. When the Sub comes in, buy it and trade in the BB41. Killer combo
