Just a quick note

I just wanted to say that this is a great site. I joined a few weeks ago and I can admit I have spent way to much time cruising around.

The things I love about this site are:

1. people are so freaking helpful - I have had two or three people pm me about my watch questions and provided invaluable help;

2. people are not abusive - everyone seems to answer questions that others have even when they have been asked thousands of times before - there have been a couple of unhappy responses I have read, but generally everyone is very respectful.

3. I love rolexes - still shopping for my first - but love everyones pics and information.

The only thing I hate so far...

I may have to buy a rolex this week cause not being able to own one and being on this site is just to hard.

Anyway - great site and thanks to everyone.

Best thing is - you DON'T have to have a Rolie to belong - just love mechanical timepieces. I don't own one, but my wife has a YM. However, these guys are great. My entrance wasn't the most pleasant, but now I cannot imagine my day without checking in TRF every now and then!

I agree 100%. I stumbled across this site not too long ago. I frequented other watch forums, but I havent been back to them since I found TRF. Everyone is alot more layed back here...as one of the moderator's signature here says "chill...its just a watch forum". This is very true. All the other forums I have been on, they kinda treat every post like its life or death or something. And G** forbid two people ask the same question!!! You get the wrath of 10 posters almost instantly! I really like it here and have become addicted.

Jimmjames, welcome to the best Forum on the net. Everyone here are very friendly and nice and will give you assistance when asked. I enjoy my time here because the alternatives(such as television) are pretty boring!!!
But I will say my better half(wife) sees me on the computer and groans!!!
