Warning: Parcelbroker gmbh
So frustrated and angered. So I bought a watch over €15,000 and the dealer (Meertz world of time) decided he would use a company called Parcelbroker GMHB or Parcelbroker.de after I had asked multiple times to use DHL and a third-party insure (which was not needed as DHL had offered insurance up to €25,000). Anyway the parcel gets picked up by this fellas (armed guard with a locked suitcase). Then I get a tracking number for FedEx which after a day I noticed is not picked up. I contact the Parcelbroker people and they inform me that I should contact the seller for information. I thought this was a bit suspicious as they were also a bit aloof about an error in the shipping address they made in the FedEx label created.
On contacting the seller I am informed that the parcel has been stolen overnight and all the internal contents of the package taken. After that showing off with the armed guard you would expect a locked coded door and cameras at least where they store the valuables. FedEx also never picked the package which the company (Parcelbroker) had stated the day before had been picked up by the courier. I'll leave you to make your judgement. IMHO I would not trust this company with your valuables especially when shipping international. |

Welcome to the forum. Your situation must be frustrating. I am unfamiliar with the company you mention. I’m not sure that they operate in the US. Good luck and I hope the matter gets resolved favorably for you.

Yes I was too and did my research and found nothing on them but a German forum which mentioned them. Hence I was not confident from the beginning about them. I say stick to Parcel pro. Worst part is trying to get another watch like that when I get the refund from the charge back. Just glad I paid by credit card. Lesson to all PayPal and credit card payment are your best friend when dealing with high value transactions. |

So you bought the watch from Germany to be shipped to Australia ?
Have you received a full refund from the seller if it never arrived and they confirm stolen en route ?

Meertz is a huge respectable seller in Germany who will not do business with a frauduleus transport company.
It is extremely unlikely that a courier in Germany would make a false claim/ statement about this.

Given what has ensued I don't know about that statement. What makes Germany an exception to any kind of false claims/statement as you say? |

I love to do business in Germany where I experienced that a given word still means something. I was merely surprised about a possible foul play by an official company. Glad you get your money back

Yes - there is a fantastic approach to business & saying what you mean. No reading between the lines needed

Not yet received my refund but I payed by credit card and disputed the transaction today with the bank and provided all communication and the FedEx trackimg number so it should be fine. Glad I paid by credit card and not bank transfer.

I have not received the refund yet, placed a dispute on transaction today. As I was meant to be refunded Friday which takes a business day with a credit card but the bank confirmed that it has not been carried out as they said they would. So they recommended a dispute to get a charge back and if I get a refund in the meantime they will cancel. |

Good the funds are being returned. I would have expected the seller to issue a refund though and then claim against their shipper. Not you via the CC company. I think in Europe under the distance selling regulations this is what would have happened - it’s probably different as your in Australia. Hope it’s not too hot where you are anyway and good luck on finding another watch you want.

Sorry for your loss. I recently ordered a carbon fiber diffuser from Manhart in Germany. They used DHL to ship to the US. It got caught up in customs for a month in Dallas. I can sympathize with your situation. What they really wanted was the duty on the item. Don’t have much faith in DHL since it was supposed to have been shipped door to door.
